I never really saw an elf deck that made full, purposeful use of Nissa Revane. Such a dedicated level of build-around was unheard of in a planeswalker at the time, so why not give it a shot? Also includes sub-themes of +1/+1 counters and warrior tribal.

Elspeth Tirel was lauded for her soldier tokens, but Nissa can haul out a 2/3 every turn, which puts up a much better fight. Furthermore, elves are one of the most well-supported tribes in the game, meaning it's easy to pump them up further. Since the Chosen are also warriors, Bramblewood Paragonfoil instantly makes them into 3/4 tramplers. Nissa's planeswalker abilities don't need any mana, so it's easy for Oran-Rief, the Vastwood to pump the Chosen up as well as whatever elf you play that turn. Imperious Perfect, perhaps the premiere elf lord, not only counts as a warrior but so do its tokens, letting both benefit from the Paragon's boost.

The real clincher is Immaculate Magistrate + Joraga Warcaller - having both together is like getting another Coat of Arms that only affects you every turn. The Warcaller is indeed a warrior, so the Paragon throws in another counter for free and Oran-Rief can give him one more for half the cost of his multikicker. Thanks to the Magistrate, though, he can still become gigantic even if you drop him for 1 mana in the early game and worry about pumping him up later!

Since +1/+1 counters are running around and Nissa starts with such low loyalty, I've been curious about some proliferate effects. Curious to see which ones are worth it without pulling away too much from the deck's main focus!
