My Black/White Lifegain/Extort Commander deck. Focus on dealing damage directly and gaining life rather than on attacking.

Use things like Basilica Screecher , Blind Obedience , Crypt Ghast , Kingpin's Pet , Thrull Parasite , Tithe Drinker , Subversion , and Suture Priest to slowly whittle down your opponents' health while keeping yours good.

Soul Warden , Sun Droplet , =, Riot Control , Wall of Reverence , Rhox Faithmender are good ways to gain life, which can in turn trigger Sanguine Bond to deal damage to opponents.

Blood Reckoning , Hissing Miasma , Serene Master , Riot Control , Intrepid Hero , Windborn Muse , and Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant   are good defensive skills fairly early. Late game, you've got Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts , Platinum Angel , and Avacyn, Angel of Hope .

With the amount of life you'll gain, cards like Karlov of the Ghost Council , Ajani's Pridemate , Ajani, Caller of the Pride 's final ability, Chalice of Life  , Wall of Limbs , Aetherflux Reservoir , and Archangel of Thune can get pretty big pretty quickly. Mostly these are to block bigger creatures (or remove them entirely in the case of Karlov), but if you get an opening feel free to attack.

Celestial Convergence and Felidar Sovereign are both in their to add an Alt-Win condition once you have a ton of life. Otherwise, Ajani, Caller of the Pride 's final ability can overrun an opponent with cats, or Wall of Limbs and Aetherflux Reservoir can deal direct damage to them.

Gideon's Intervention can help defend against an opponent's Commander.

Note on Illegal card(s):

My play group just plays Casual, but if I need to follow the tournament ban list I can switch out Yawgmoth's Bargain for Pontiff of Blight . I have a friend who insists that Sanguine Bond / Exquisite Blood immediately puts the game in a draw, so instead of pointlessly arguing with her I switch out Exquisite Blood for Bloodgift Demon .
