I'm mostly a budget EDH player, & I've been wanting to build Korvold ever since he was spoiled! But once I saw that the paths most people went down were either Food Chain or Dockside Extortionist, which are both pricey, I got discouraged...

...Then I found Nerve_Atk's Mortuary Korvold list, & realized you can build the King as a storm deck! I'm aiming for a strategy that wins by saccing & replaying creatures like Blood Pet, enabled by having Korvold & Mortuary in play. This way, you'll generate a huge storm count into a Grapeshot or Aetherflux Reservoir. Mayhem Devil, Judith or Blood artist-like creatures can be outlets too.

In the meantime, I plan to generate value with a grindy aristocrats strategy, which will hopefully carry us through the midgame & buy time to assemble the wincon. I'm also adding a light reanimation package, to recur creatures that have been sacc'd.

If all else fails, I guess you could always swing with a fat Korvold, voltron style? He is a 4/4 with flying that gets bigger when you sacc things, after all...
