By the way, thanks for the link.

Once I finish this deck out. I am going to focus on making it good for legacy play. By then, all I will be missing would be the lands and a couple sideboard cards.

This is what I've been looking for: A post-Deathrite banning Jund decklist.

For ideas on Legacy Jund, I have a list to give you ideas. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/legacy-jund-07-05-13-1/

Kaitoghost, you're welcome. I have to update my match record to reflect todays numbers. But rest assured, it still does work. I added Choke x2 to the board last minute today... thank god I did, I played against U/B, Merfolk, U/r twin among others. Pretty much, choke gave me a free win.

I have a legacy Jund idea in my head. I am missing the duals and a couple Bloodstained Mire s. I will give yours a look anyways, I am probably leaving something out.

Thanks for checking it out

This deck looks stupid fun.

-MisterJ- it is, man. It's literally one of those decks that everyone knows, but hate playing against it. Every time I dropped the third color on the field or the goyf, people just kind of groan. Because they know they need to bring in everything they can. It's kind of amusing.

Do you play on untap.in? My local meta doesn't have any good Jund decks and I want to see how my token deck, Swarm and Conquer V 2.0, will do. I'd love to play against you sometime. +1, nice deck!

This is nasty. Love it. It has, all, all the answers. I would love to pilot it someday.

I'd like to hear your thoughts as to no Dismember in this deck. It's an incredibly powerful card, one that I would probably play over the second Terminate at least.

I'd also like to hear your thoughts on those Fanatic of Xenagos . Courser seems a lot better, but why are you playing them?

The no dismember is a local meta call. That's really about it. If I go to another town, I drop it in the MD.

The fanatic of xenagos is a little more complicated.

Courser, while great, made the deck feel slow and vulnerable to haymakers due to you opponent seeing your top deck. So I tested fanatic in its place, as sort of a pseudo "BBE". I only tried it once, and it was actually pretty nice. Most players could not make a good decision against it. Over all I liked it, and want to try it out a little more.

The problem is that I am leaving for about six months so I won't get to play where I am going. So in the meantime I am going to take up EDH and see what shenanigans I can come up with.

Jamming four Bobs and four Goyfs in all formats seems like a solid plan.

Kaitoghost, the ghost quarters, IMO are a little better than tec edge. for a couple reasons:

  1. If i drop one really early, then I can use it immediately, (best uses against tron game 1) sort of like wasteland is to legacy.

  2. not too many people run more than 4 basics where i am playing, so letting them replace a land is fine for the most part.

  3. It can hit basics. so when they run out of them in their deck, I can really be THAT asshole.

  4. (see #2 and #3) pair GQ with life from the loam. rinse and repeat. I have done this once, oddly enough against Gr Tron. Best. Game 1. Ever.

This was all a while ago, mind you. I am not sure how it would do against the current meta in modern

I am wondering if I should play Blightning as a one of in the MB

Kaitoghost says... #18

Maybe instead of one of the Inquisitions? I've always liked Blightning.

What should I take out?

A friend of mine mentioned main boarding Slaughter Games. Any thoughts?

May 8, 2015 12:18 a.m.

cut Ancient Grudge. Slaughter Games is really just a 4 mana do nothing against non-combo decks on a turn that would be better spent developing your board. Side it in against combo, otherwise keep it at that.

Fair enough. I have been playing Jund in modern and legacy for over a year now, and the idea just seemed crazy enough to work. Thanks for bringing me back to reality.

May 8, 2015 12:35 a.m.

It basically does nothing for you on the board, which is where jund wants its presence. most Decks aren't built around one card, side in slaughter games against twin

I'd run more k commands and terminates main board for affinty/its awesome and terminates for the tasigurs/anglers.

And a sowing salt SB for tron and manlands in affinity/infect/uw.

Less abrupt decay.
