I'd just like to say, I wish I could afford Jund. Ive been playtesting this so I can know how to play against the deck, know your enemy as they say, and I love playing the deck. The value is disgusting. I havent ended a game with more than 10 life, but I've never felt like I was losing.

i want to point out in your description of the tron match up he regained wurmcoil after popping the o stone. Olivia leaves play so you no longer control it

Jamesfurrow, yeah some friends of mine pointed that out later, the dude extended his hand and verbally conceded... so the judges watching just let it happen. SO I guess in reality, I got really lucky from a dude not RTFC-ing.

Dalektable, it took me a year or so and some aggressive trading to get the deck (before I started foiling it, of course) and I would have to say its worth every damn penny. Best deck I have ever played.

gnarlicide Not sure if this has been asked before, but I noticed you have no Living End hate. Grafdigger's Cage is nice, but it doesn't work on living end.

Maybe you're just lucky to not see it often, but it's a rough match for Jund. I've seen it a few times and I need 1-2 grave hate cards in my sideboard just in case now. Apparently it's also pretty popular.

+1 to that. Maybe relic instead?

phaze08, scooze wins games against living end. The rest comes from playing differently. I will purposely use discard spells to pitch goyfs. It works.

I also use surgical extraction and slaughter games to try to snatch living end. It makes the match fair. Without their namesake, they have a deck with really bad creatures.

gnarlicide I agree with schooze, but I never thought about pitching extra creatures...makes sense. I also love surgical extraction. From my experience, ooze isn't always quite enough to win but these things could help I suppose.

phaze08, I saw a dude pitch tasigur once with liliana. So later, I tried it with inquisition on goyf. The look on the opponents face was enough to know I next leveled him

gnarlicide That's so awesome lol I'm gonna use it next time I play living end.

It's gonna be hilarious cuz the guy I know is a douche and everyone at that LGS plays jank decks. He's used to winning every Friday.

It's a little further but I'll have to take a trip soon.

phaze08, just remember to fetch for basics in the beginning (they run main fulminators), pitch a couple goyfs if you can, and slam an ooze and eat eat eat. there is actually a prettier video on youtube involving the ooze beats.

Also, Tasigur is your friend if you can start using his ability. Gets more dudes in the yard and gets more other stuff in the yard for the goyf return.

Sounds good, I actually dropped my tasigur for the time being, I feel like his ability is too grindy for this aggro-infested meta but I guess he's still a 4/5 for 2.

I'm testing Goblin Dark-Dwellers and I gotta say, it leads to some sweet lines of play that reminds me of grixis, but it's mostly underwhelming.

Although, I guess you could say he's a 2-drop if you cast a 3 drop spell, so he is good value. Just not sure he's what we want really.

Curious about your record with control. Ever since the B&R announcement, it seems like blue is on the rise and alot of players are running combinations of Thrun, the Last Troll, Choke (which i dislike), and stuff like Batterskull.

Does your list work well against control or have you just not seen any? Do you think these cards aren't needed in SB?

phaze08,

my control game is strong, actually. hand disruption is the best for that.

currently, and i should update this list, i am running thrun in SB. batter skull, still seems kind of bad and i have not used it. i removed tasigur from MB and placed olivia in there to combat flying tokens.

choke is kind of weak at the moment, even mono blue decks are running non-island blue sources.

That seems good, actually. I want to like Batterskull and I feel like he's very resilient to removal for the most part, it just costs a ton of mana to keep reusing it. I considered buying one and I could see how it could be awesome against alot of decks but most likely not needed.

two of the decks you would want it against, run Kolaghan's Command, so yeah. Thats the only reason why I personally won't run it, the mirror and grixis.

If abzan decks come back to combat control (if they become dominant), then maybe it could be OK. But not now.

This deck is too budget, you need foil goyfs asap

Hey like the deck always have. Was curious what your thought was on Arlinn Kord  Flip as a 2 of in the mainboard with lili? Those two seem to pressure the opponent very nicely so I thought I get your opinion on it? I been playing jund now more frequently and it's so far Turing out to be a strong combination but I thought I get a second opinion from someone who's more experienced with the deck

KaiserChronic... I am currently working on that and finishing the set of lilli's.

The problem is that this price guide does not give the real price of the bolts, terminates or the spanish inquisitions, (see what i did there?). Its upwards of 5600.

Jamesfurrow, tested it. there is also a "jund players only" closed Facebook group. Some random pros are also a part of it. the group discussed this card, ad nauseam and tested it with different MB's. It turned out to be pretty lackluster. when you are ahead, its awesome. when you are behind or even, its terrible.

I am not saying to never try it or play it. I am just saying the consensus of a large group of worldwide jund players (there are also spreadsheets of data to back this up) (some of these dudes have no life) have decided collectively, that its not as good as Kalitas or Huntmaster (which Arlinn tries to do an impression of).
