Creature (4)

This deck was a powerhouse when it had Ghostfire Blade last block and it is still a powerhouse. Eldrazi Skyspawner , Hedron Crawler, and Herald of Kozilek provide some early game ramp to our big powerhouses Reality Smasher and Drowner of Hoper.

This deck can consistently get a turn four Drowner of Hoper so long as we cast a turn 2 Hedron Crawler followed by some other ramp on turn 3 and playing with four untapped lands.

Other cards like Vile Aggregate provide the extra damage with the Aggregate taking full advantage of our Drowner's token generation.

Let me know what you think. Peace!

Went 2-1 in the night.

Match One: vs. Esper Midrange (2-0) Game One went great. My opponent mulled down to five and I snap kept seven. Thought-Knot Seer plus Essence Flux kept them from playing anything. Very fast win. Game Two was a game with two seven-card hands to start. Still was able to put down Thought-Knot Seer and stay in control of the entire game. My opponent did put down 2x Icefall Regent and a Dragonlord Ojutai but my eldrazi were able to get Essence Flux and just plow through those pesky beasts. It was a pretty sweet win.

Match Two: vs. G/W Token/Eldrazi (0-2) This was a game one in which I had to mull down to five only to get beat out by double Thought-Knot Seer plus Reality Smasher by my opponent. The same happened in game two. It was bad beats.

Match Three: vs. Esper Dragons (2-1) I lost game one in typical fashion. I have no way to deal with Dragonlord Ojutai in the mainboard and they had Ojutai down on turn five. Four turns later it was gg.

Games two and three were our games. Thought-Knot Seer plus Essence Flux and my sideboard counters kept my opponent locked down. Great win.

Game three was what a game of Magic is all about. We went answer for answer back and forth. My opponent made two very big mistakes this game that I made them pay for dearly. They Languished the board with a Dragonlord Silumgar in play that I was able to hit with Rending Volley. Essentially, it was a boardwipe. Earlier in the match, my opponent played Virulent Plague which took out my tokens. However, this also hurt my opponent when they played Kalitas late in the game. They didn't get much value outta him and had to chump a Reality Smasher. After that, I got so far ahead on board that I just beat them out.

So that was my night. Match Three was significant for two reasons. This match showed me that my deck can really go up against all of the top tier decks in standard at the moment. I've beaten Bant, Tokens, G/B, Season Past, and U/B. Beating out one of the stronger control decks really shows the power and versatility this deck has. The other reason was that this was the Esper deck that one Game Day the week prior. Had it not been for a "tie" against G/B Company, I would have been competing against the deck I beat out this night. Kinda of disappointed about Game Day still but I feel justified that I did have the best deck that night.
