podracer1994 - Glad you like it and I'm glad you're enjoying my other deck. Let me know how it does!

What about Assault Suit for this deck? Maybe use it to pass along the Abyssal Persecutor.

Assault Suit is a cool piece of a equipment that is unfortunately a little too clunky to be effective without building around it specifically. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I do like your idea of just giving the Persecutor away though so he's someone else's problem lol.

Have you considered Shambling Goblin as the one drop?
May 8, 2015 8:36 p.m.
I did. I like the death trigger, but it's lacking in evasion, and that's what I want this deck's 1 drops to bring. The only non evasion 1 drop I considered was Rakdos Cackler for pure aggro.

If you're considering a low-cost creature for evasion, there's Vault Skirge, which is effectively a 1 CMC creature with flying plus huge gains in lifelink when buffed up. I also personally like Gurmag Swiftwing, and don't see enough of this awesome little guy. Haste plus free equipping from either of your two equipments (Grafted Wargear or Lashwrithe) makes for a very nasty beast right when it's casted onto the battlefield.

That might be superior to Devour Flesh in this build. I'll check it out! Thanks!
I'm glad to hear it's performing well. I build these decks for newer players to have something cheap and effective to get started with, or for more experienced players to just slap together to play something new for cheap. Especially if they're playing friends that maybe don't have expensive decks.
If you'd like to see how they're designed to be played, playtest it against the Elemental tribal budget deck in my profile. It was built with the same idea in mind and they compete well against each other.

Predator's Gambit is strictly better than Unholy Strength.

Isn't Rite of Consumption strictly better than Devour Flesh? The only thing is the instant speed on Devour Flesh perhaps. It also serves as a win-con to just fling off Abyssal Persecutor.

I wouldn't call it strictly better as it can't function as removal for your opponent's creatures. But it is definitely awesome, and I forgot it existed or I would have included it. I'm gonna sub it in! Thanks!

Yeah sorry, I misspoke when saying 'strictly better' but I was thinking in terms of this deck as for how it functions.
May 9, 2015 11:43 p.m.
Yeah for what this deck wants to do, it's definitely better.

I second the addition of Vault Skirge in for Prickly Boggart, he is going to cost you because with lifelink and equipment, you're going to pay back that measly 2 life fast.

Ever thought about using Desecration Demon instead now that his price had dropped.
May 10, 2015 1:53 p.m.
Went ahead and added Vault Skirge. I agree, he brings more to the table here.
May 10, 2015 3:22 p.m.
ManicMayhem, I have. I just greatly prefer the Persecutor's evasion and the fact that he can't be tapped out by tokens.

I would like to see grafted exoskeleton come in for predators gambit. Grafted exoskeleton allows not only for a sack outlet, but also for infect damage to be pushed through.

I really enjoy these decks you have been making recently. Keep it up! I have already made a version of your witchking deck, which I have posted to my user page. It kills!
