Thanks for the input. Wall of Roots serves an important role that Rampant Growth style ramp cannot, it can block in addition to making mana. Wild Cantor would be okay, but the point of the deck isn't so much getting lands on the field as it is getting them out of the deck. I might look into adding some Naturalize to deal with Leylines.

Ok, so here is the remix I settled on. The main plan is the same, there is a backup plan of [ensnaring bridge]/wormcoil/chancellor beatdown which can be fetched via fabricate. Sideboard should help transform to fog-city. not completely happy with that, but beast within/ druids deliverence looks promising. Considering howling mine.http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/modern-belcher-copy-3/

What's the purpose of Bow of Nylea, Birds of Paradise, and Utopia Sprawl? The way I see it, this deck doesn't need ramp, it just needs to get all its lands out of its deck.

Also not sure about Simian Spirit Guide, because though it gives you a mana for a landless hand, no cards are red, so without lands you still can't play them. And why not cut Stomping Ground, so then Charbelcher will always get through your entire library, dealing 40+ damage?

The Simian Spirit Guide generates free mana, and the big deal isn't have red mana so much as having mana without lands. The mostly pays in part for either the casting cost of the Charbelcher or the activation cost. 9 times out of 10, it really just reads "Exile to generate "
Stomping Ground doubles the damage off of the Charbelcher. Instead of typically having to flip around 20 cards for lethal, I would only have to flip about 10.

The Bow of Nylea lets me recycle Fogs and Charbelcher if they have artifact hate. The life gain can help stabilize if I can't find Fogs. everything else is just extra
The Birds of Paradise and Utopia Sprawl both help me capitalize on a 1 land hand. With 7 lands, you can't really rely on top decking a land just in time. That is also 100% of the reason the Chancellor of the Tangles are in the deck

I think a better fit for one-land hands would be another Caravan Vigil, and Greenseeker, or even Traveler's Amulet and Wanderer's Twig. All of them let you get another mana for your next turn like the Birds of Paradise and the Utopia Sprawl, but what they also do is get rid of some lands for Charbelcher.
But if you exclude Stomping Ground, since it's pretty easy to get rid of all your basic lands, then it'll get rid of the possibility Stomping Ground is in the top few cards of your deck. Without it, you can flip 20 cards guaranteed (I wouldn't think it would take long, certainly not as long as something like Eggs).
Whoops I missed the last effect on the Bow

Wall of roots seems a little odd here- I find myself feeling it should be something like rampant growth or another fog equivalent I find myself wanting Wild Cantor to abuse first turn Caravan Vigil, and provide alternative mana fixing, possibly fueling a storm elemental combo? although unsure of effectiveness. Some anti-enchantment/artifact seems neccesary to deal with Leyline of Sanctity and similar. Manamorphose would help with combo maindeck. will test a little, see if I can propose an updated list.
