You'd get a play set for literally not drinking a coke at a restaurant. ... Hell if you're nice to someone at a local shop they will probably give you some if they have them.If you can't buy commons this may not be the hobby for you.

i normally can, but my parents car is busted so she can't get to work at all and she won't let me get a job because i'm on my senior year with grades that aren't exactly gleaming if you know what i mean. that and i'm short on more then just the chimeras.

First of all, you want to go down to 60 cards if possible.

Next, I think you should drop the Enchantments. Knowledge and Power is definitely a bad choice. Even though you scry a bit, its still costs way more for what its worth. Oracle's Insight is OK, but I think there are much better choices out there for card draw.

Not to mention, if you want to run down the control path, you're going to need a lot more instants. Consider going up to about 20-22 Instants, this will insure that you will have the toolbox needed to keep you alive throughout your early game.

While we're on the topic, some of your choice of Instants could be better. There are better choices than AEtherize out there, assuming its to mostly stop aggro. Dragonshift just seems like more of a card for fun, which isn't bad, it just isn't a competitive card. And finally, Mizzium Skin seems very lackluster here, since hexproof isn't incredibly valued against all match-ups.

Here are a couple Instants you should look into:

Hour of Need deals with big creatures pretty well. They might get a 4/4 with flying, but its much better than then having some worse. I'd run 1.

Turn / Burn is pretty great because it can deal with both small and large creatures. Small because the 2 damage from Burn is enough to kill a lot of things. And big because Turn can be followed up by a burn spell. Run 2-3.

Magma Jet can also deal with a lot of creatures, and you get to scry from it. How many you run just depends on how much you like scry or not, some decks run none, some decks run all 4.

Mizzium Mortars this can be really good removal in the early game for creatures that get too big too fast. And can also work as mass removal, for when the enemy board gets too big too fast. Run 2-3.

Lightning Strike could also be good removal, and good free damage on the enemy. Run 2-3

Also, consider running 1 or 2 more Izzet Charm s.

As for creatures, I'd drop the Goblin Electromancer , Sigiled Starfish , and Stormcaller of Keranos for cards that are more worth running. Sigiled Starfish , and Stormcaller of Keranos just aren't worth running for the scry alone. Goblin Electromancer is OK, but really you don't have that many mana issues considering most of your Instants are low cost anyways.

I'd run 4 Judge's Familiar and 4 Young Pyromancer without a doubt in my mind. There are both really good low cost creatures.

Chandra's Phoenix and Spellheart Chimera can make really good win conditions, I like to run 3 Chandra's Phoenix and 2 Spellheart Chimera

Molten Birth isn't worth running. Ral Zarek is kind of eh, and in my opinion doesn't really fit. Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius could also make a pretty decent Win con, but costs a lot of mana.

Also forgot to mention, I'd go down to 22 Lands instead of 24. Not really a reason to run that many unless theres a higher mana curve.

@Jechtt thanks for the suggestions. i tend to forget about functionality for fun stuff, but i seriously think the dragon shift is undervalued by most people(same for most izzet cards honestly). makes for a really fun wincon.

Yeah, its definitely a fun card, but its very slow and relies on getting tokens out with Young Pyromancer , which are generally just used to block.
