Some quick info about me: I came back to MTG recently after 10 years away. I've decided on joining the Modern format. It seems to provide the best range of cards with the ability to compete without breaking the bank. There were 4 types of decks that I really enjoyed playing before I quit. RU counter / burn, UW or BW control, Red burn / aggro, and Green aggro. Today I bring you my green aggro deck based off of the Stompy Deck.

It is a fairly decent budget option for getting in to modern (It should be less than $100 including sideboard).

The star here is Avatar of the Resolute. His synergy with Young Wolf, Experiment One, Strangleroot Geist, himself, and Oran-Rief, the Vastwood is top notch. The rest of the supporting cast of creatures are there as cost efficient options (both in $ and mana cost) which aren't easily removed with common burn spells or chump blockers.

The non-creature spells contribute with protection for your creatures, helping get your creature damage across, opposing creature removal, and of course buffing your damage.

The side board aims at providing the ability to stand up to burn (Kitchen Finks), blue (Choke), artifact / enchantment (Deglamer, Creeping Corrosion, Back to Nature), graveyards (Relic of Progenitus), and fatties (Dismember)

The maybe board includes 4 x Kalonian Tusker which provides great synergy with Aspect of the Hydra, but was swapped out for 4 Scavenging Ooze that I got my hands on. The Reverent Hunter is a card that seems like a great fit, but I just don't know if it's worth subbing something else out for. Any suggestions on this is appreciated The Dryad Militant is a possible replacement for Young Wolf as it's a 2/1 which will proc evolve on Experiment One and also helps control the graveyard. I find Young Wolf to be incredibly useful though and am not sure I want to remove him. Looking for some advice here as well. Prey Upon provides alternate creature control / a way to build +1/+1 counters on my undying creatures, but lost out to the other spells I am running. Finally, we have Spellskite. A friend of mine played him against my red burn deck and he was an MVP. I can see him being great in here, but don't know what I would sub for it... probably sideboard it instead of Creeping Corrosion and Back to Nature. Spellskite is also an expensive card and doesn't fit the budget theme.

Note on Budget, the deck is under $100 if you swap the Experiment One with Kalonian Tusker
