DMPv01 I've ran 4x 6x and 7x, I really prefer 7x discard spells. In my experience 4x Thoughtseize is just enough to survive on. 6x Thoughtseize runs smoothly but it often ends up with your turn 1 playing being a tapped shockland. 7x is just aggressive enough to reliably have that T1 play and another or two later in the game.
I've been happier to see late game Thoughtseize these days. Hits those really annoying targets like Thragtusk, Wurmcoil Engine, and the ridiculous things people ramp into.
Been thinking about upping the Bitterblossom count to 3-4 but I think it'll conflict with Dark Confidant too much. What do you think?

I understand wanting the consistent T1 play. When I run 5-6, it's not as consistent, but I also don't like drawing them late game because by then Liliana of the Veil has done some work and both players are top decking. I would then consider putting anything over 6 in the sideboard for matches that can reload the hand consistently. Again, it's just my preference.
If you consistently want Dark Confidant and Bitterblossom in play each game then run 3-4. Your average CMC is pretty low and with 24 lands you probably reveal lands about half the time anyway so I wouldn't think it'd conflict much.

I tested this thing all day yesterday and am really happy with it. Bitterblossom and Dark Confidant didn't conflict with each other and I liked how I had more options for a T2 play. I may take Bitterblossom down to 3 eventually.
Given the lower creature count Scavenging Ooze didn't quite perform up to par. Been thinking of taking ScOoze down to 1 copy.
Played 2 Tron games and went 2-0 in both. Dark Confidant really helps that match up.
This deck is weak to Storm. I need something in the SB for it. Any suggestions?
Tokens can be a challenge too, so I swapped Go for the Throat back to Golgari Charm.
If only there was room in this deck for Smallpox...

Hmm, how about Extirpate, Surgical Extraction, Sadistic Sacrament?
These are general hate cards I use in mono black to shore up mono black weakness. It could be used against Storm as well.
Relic of Progenitus, Tormod's Crypt, etc. for graveyard hate.

If you could fit Smallpox in that would be pretty sick.

Stuck on 2 lands game 1 (Treetop Village and Ghost Quarter at that) Stuck on 1 land game 3.
2-0 Jund
Bitterblossom wrecks shop.
2-1 Burn
Slow & steady wins the race.
0-2 8Rack
Played solid. Even hit him with Creeping Corrosion while he had 2 Ensnaring Bridges and The Rack out.

Just my preference but I'd swap light and shadow with fire and ice positions coz if you're hitting yourself surely nullifying it a little is good?

I really prefer Sword of Fire and Ice the utility is sweet and I rather draw a card than have a creature returned to my hand. Due to the low creature count half the time there isn't even a creature in the grave. I use the swords offensively the majority of the time.
Typically when I side in Sword of Light and Shadow I don't side out Sword of Fire and Ice.
Thanks for the suggestion and checking out the deck. Any other revisions you would make?

Hmmm. I guess I could see Nissa in here. I worry about the lack of immediate impact on the game, but if you think it's working, then go for it! It does seem kinda win more, but it could also be the extra push that this deck needs to have the edge over other decks. Nissa certainly grinds very well, but it's the last card I'd want to draw against burn, for example. Definitely a possibility in the sideboard for the mirror, but even there I don't see it being better than Thrun or a sword. So basically you've convinced me it has some potential, but I still don't know if it has a home yet.
Good luck, love the deck!

Well it significantly improves the token match. Haven't tested it vs burn but plants can negate Monastery Swiftspear and Goblin Guide. Her ultimate could also sway the burn match up.

Thanks. This is the stronger build but yea love both of the decks. Fond memories of OP&P. It was a sick stepping stone into building this.

Have you considered the new Ob Nixilis Reignited? I know he's five mana and all, but I tested him in my jund deck and holy shit was it fantastic

I haven't. Seems kind of Vraska the Unseen'ish to me. Being nothing more than a 5 mana removal spell.

i really only used his +1 to keep my hand full. i played multiple games with him, and every time i had him out my hand was ALWAYS full. and the life loss is kind of moot, never made a difference

Wouldn't Phyrexian Arena or Painful Truths just be better than?
Could you share the list you run him in? Both Jund decks on your profile are set to private.

''It molly whops Eldrazi'' For sure. But you are going to have a hard time playing your spells... getting double Green and double Black will be really tricky. Let us know how it goes...

Only one spell MB requires double green and honestly I plan to side Nissa, Voice of Zendikar out for the match up. Sure this deck makes Blood Moon a Turn 4 play but there's nothing wrong with that when Liliana of the Veil is your turn 3 play.

Still seems real sketchy to me, but I like that you are ready to experiment!! Give us some feedback!!
