Sideboard

The 'Standard' Esper control deck, but I added in the Crucibles and Havens to be able to drop Dragonlord Dromoka onto the field. Awesome against other control decks (as she is uncounterable), but her lifelink helps against most other decks as well.

I've really liked playing this deck in the past, with just Dragonlord Ojutai, but I have to say I prefer Dromoka because it is so unexpected.

My general strategy for this deck is to keep myself alive for 5 turns, casting a Crux of Fate to wipe the board, and then keep a tight leash on the opponent, countering all his spells and putting my threats in place one at a time.

Updates Add

I've had some real fun with Dragonlord Dromoka maindecked. But this weekend theres a small tournament and I decided to get back to basics.

I removed my Despise from my sideboard and added Self-Inflicted Wound in stead. Theres a lot of Abzan and Green Devotion in my local gamestore and I didnt have the speed to get creature removal in. Now, after sideboarding, its a lot better. I also returned one Icefall Regent to my main deck, leading me to play 6 creatures. I also maindecked Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver. Dragonlord Dromoka is still sideboarded against mirror matches. With the removal of Dromoka I didnt have much use for crucibles/havens, so I went down to one of both and added two Dismal Backwater as replacements.

Not too many changes this time, but it feels as though it plays a bit better
