I wanted to make a Zombie deck ever since I saw Relentless Dead and all it's glory. Diregraf Colossus is a powerhouse too and can swarm the board of zombies early.
Shambling Goblin
is a nice one drop Zombie which you can recur easily and also an easy activation of both Diregraf Colossus's abilities.
The synergy of Nantuko Husk and Relentless Dead is quite amazing as you can sacrifice

sending it to the graveyard, sacrifice Relentless Dead to the husk, pay 2 black to return Relentless Dead to your hand and bring
Shambling Goblin
back to the battlefield which you can then sacrifice again with Nantuko Husk if you so wish.
This deck is about overwhelming the board as that's what zombies do best, Risen Executioner can easily be recurred by Relentless Dead with enough mana and pumps your entire team as every creature besides Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is a zombie (who makes more zombies anyway). He can also be cast from the Graveyard if you have enough mana and little creatures there. Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and Risen Executioner are our big 4 drops which will either buff our entire time or overwhelm the opponent with zombie tokens while ruining their graveyard strategy.
We play 2 Liliana, Heretical Healer
s as she is great at disruption and graveyard retrieval. We can easily get her down for turn 3 and the trigger should be easy to get. Plus she makes her own zombie friend for protection!
With Diregraf Colossus in play, we can play Fleshbag Marauder to summon a 2/2 Zombie token which we can sacrifice instead of the Marauder itself. Or we can just sacrifice Relentless Dead and bring it back to our hand to replace the next turn to summon yet another 2/2 Zombie token.
Since we're just playing mono-black we can easily play the best removal spells in Standard, the top being Grasp of Darkness and with the rotation of Khans and Fate, we'll be seeing less multi-coloured creatures making
Ultimate Price
even more powerful in the new Standard. Duress for control and a turn one play.
I have yet to play test this deck as the cards haven't been released yet but I feel this will be quite a fun deck to play with all the synergy! I can't wait for Eldritch Moon for more Zombie support.
I've also heard about an interesting (but mana intensive) synergy that I may try out with Sidisi, Undead Vizier and
Ever After
. Bringing back a Sidisi, Undead Vizier from the Graveyard along with another Creature like possibly Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet with
Ever After
.
Ever After
goes to the bottom of the deck and exploiting a creature with Sidisi, Undead Vizier or exploiting itself means you can just tutor for the same
Ever After
and reuse it again and again each turn!
