BW Control ( Post Rotation )

Standard* Control WB (Orzhov)

Sideboard

Planeswalker (1)

Instant (3)

Sorcery (5)

First mockup for a post rotation BW control. Good matchups Everything other than bad matchups. The new format seems slower even with rattleclaw / fetches ect. 3 mana 4/4 could come on turn2 quite often but the player will be taking alot of pain. My biggest fear is decks running hexproof and swarm since we are a little slow and have little card advantage engines. Any deck relying on courser and 3 mana or more creatures are pretty much dead.

Bad Matchups Swarm decks ( need to draw double black and drown in sorrows / bile blights ) Hexproof

So far it looses to rabble red alot. But rabble red gets alot worse post rotation. BTE just generates too much value It beats selesnya aggro on the draw most of the time surprisingly.

Goal is mostly trade 1 for 1 cards until you can boardwipe to create card advantage at the cost of a little life. Your sheeps of lifegain are usually enough and even without lifegain matchups never really seem stressful since you draw an answer most of the time.

Sign in blood could be card to get. Possibly even pain seer with springleaf drum since there usually isnt a blocker in its way. And drum lets it not attack while effectively ramping mana.
