I love it! I'd love to build it if I could afford the goyfs. +1 from me! I love anything with snapcaster. That little Asian dude is too good

What about one or two Maelstrom Pulse ? You can kill whatever you want for 3 mana, and it is great against tokens, which sometimes can screw control.Another card I think you could find useful is Damnation . Nice deck!

Needs basics bad, or else Path to Exile is going to wreck your Goyfs, and Snaps. Otherwise, I really like the deck! I've wanted to create something like this, it's just so damn expensive Dx.

This might actually be my favorite modern deck I've ever seen.

antonioelguay the reason Im not running either of those cards MB is because I put this list together with the intention of keeping my average CMC very low, making confidant as painless as possible. I know theres no SB posted, but those cards definitely have a spot in the SB, no question.

Inherentlyconfused you are correct, but I don't know where to cut a few lands.

And thanks Fulcrum, it was just an idea at first, but ive gotten a lot of positive feedback on it, so Im probably going to run this.

You run 10 fetches and only 6 fetchable lands, which can be pretty brutal.
I would cut down to 8 fetches and try to include 3-4 basic lands, as mentioned above to prevent path to be insane and to play around blood moond and being too hard on the lifetotal with shocking etc.
I think you can go down to 2x Creeping Tar pit and remove the twilight mires. You have enough fixing.
Also 1 maelstrom pulse doesn't hurt. It's insane :)

8vomit Since the only mana intensive spells are Abrupt Decay and Liliana of the Veil , and you have plenty of fetches, you could probably go one less Watery Grave and Overgrown Tomb , plus one less Twilight Mire and then add one basic of each color. Or even get rid of the Mires completely and go 2x Island, 1x Swamp, 1x Forest. That's a lot of damage you'll be taking to set up your mana the first few turns so the added basics will make it easier on your life total.

Also, if you replaced either Dark Confidant or Tarmogoyf with Delver of Secrets  Flip , you'd have a pretty decent BUG Delver deck.

w00tthehuk182 Thanks for the feedback, I added some basics, and will consider MB Maelstrom pulse. I think the 2x twilight mire are pretty important to include here though

Inherentlyconfused Thank you as well. The reason im not running delver is because ive used him in a lot of decks recently, and Im kind of bored with him.

Looks pretty nice now. I love the idea of playing snapcaster with Rock. So much value with Abrupt Decay and inquisition of kozilek :)

maybe as a 1-of but Id hate to get nailed for 8 by confidant.

Cruise is just better than bob. Most pros are saying that dark confidant isn't a playable magic card anymore with cruise around.

What pro said that man? what was his/her name?

xlaleclx says... #19

Josh utter leyton and LSV both agreed that the card is unplayable at the moment, it also sees very little play in any formats right now other than some sideboard play in ANT. It's been dropped from most jund lists and that was the deck most reliant on it.

..... Two thousand dollars. Its like you built a deck around the most expensive cards in modern. I realize it could be more but still. Lol.

January 4, 2015 11:01 p.m.

pianist1119 There's a reason that they're the most expensive cards in modern, they're fantastic.

pianist1119 Its easy to make an expensive deck when you own a playset of Tarmogoyf. thats like..800$ worth of the cost right there.

Also, going back to what xlaleclx said. im aware of bobs current status. This isnt what im running, its an idea i was thinking of putting together. My current modern deck is Siege Rock as well as So...game 2 then?. I am a rock player at heart, i just like to explore possible different builds around the rock shell.

I really wish I could put a bigger budget on mtg but I cant. In the meantime I can brag about... uh... nothing in my collection costs over 15$ :/

Just play Shadow of Doubt mainboard. Give in and do it. 2CMC Stone Rain + cantrip. It's everything you want in this deck.
