Semi-Tribal Zombie with 2 death activated trigger: Plague Belcher along with Blood Artist. getting only one of these out accounts for half the damage in a game and i usually get more out.

The Undying Army:Gravecrawler, Dread Wanderer, all can, one way or the other, find themselves back on the battlefield setting up Ayara, First of Locthwain

Death outlets: Ayara, First of Locthwain and Carrion Feeder provide immediate sacrifice when the opportunity arises. Also gives you a buff and some draw.

Devotion: Underrated part of the deck can be very effective late game specifically if again, Ayara, First of Locthwain is out along with Geralf's Messenger, both with CMC of 3 Black, making Gray Merchant of Asphodel very dangerous.
