Maybe add a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx if you're only running black. It's a lot of mana, really quickly, especially in a monocolored deck.

Also Gravecrawler, Bloodghast, and Crypt Incursion. (and if you want to splurge a little, the infamous Entomb + Reanimate combo)

Thanks for the suggestions ComboCrazy.I'll keep them in mind. Once I start play testing the deck, I'll be up for trying some tweaking.

You might want to consider adding some mana ramp (e.g. Dark Ritual or Culling the Weak) and adding 1 or 2 more Army of the Damned. With one enhancement like deathtouch, you can turn it into a one attack victory.

It's relatively similar to a budget deck I designed Insurmountable Zombie Invasion (Under $30).

Running an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or two would benefit you, doing the same thing as Blanket of Night for free.

Thanks speedbump07! That would free up some card space. I'll definitely look into it!

From Under the Floorboards also has some solid art if you wanted to go a little more heavy on the token cards. That and Army of the Damned make a solid pair of generators.

Good suggestions Lemky24

I've been running this deck and I think I'll be incorporating the cards you suggested a few others. The mill and bring back mechanic isn't working well and not quickly enough. I'm not a fan of milling anyway. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again!

It looks like a fun thematic tribal brew. I would make some suggestions to make the deck flow through your turns a bit smoother.

Some cards I find a bit underwhelming

Corpse BlockadeWalking DeadArmy of the DamnedUnder the FloorboardsBlanket of NightDark Ritual

Corpse Blocade is a bit slow to be the blocker you want against aggro decks and against control and midrange strategies it doesn't provide you with much of a clock, and Walking Dead feels much the same, by the time you have the two drop down and mana open to regenerate your opponent will have much more impressive creatures in play or likely an exile or -X/-X spell in hand. I would recommend replacing them with Geralf's Messanger and Highborn Ghoul/Withered Witch. The all black mana required to cast these won't hurt you because you're all in on mono-black anyway, and it will synergise nicely with some other suggestions I will make.

Army of the Damned and Under the Floorboards aren't usually castible for full value. While Army itself is high enough of a cost that most games will end with it still in your hand Under the Floorboards might get cast on the front half, but the flashback will still be sitting in your graveyard at the end of the game. Greymerchant of Asphodel is a good replacement here as a 4 of. This will give you a late game plan for when you can no longer attack into your opponents board state and some needed life gain to get you the point where you can win the game.

Blanket of Night I assume is in the deck so that your swampwalkers can attack without being blocked, but this is just going to promote your opponent into being more aggressive against you which means you'll have to be more defensive and you won't be able to attack in as much. I would cut this back to a singleton copy in the deck if not remove it entirely. Dark ritual is an amazing magic card, but it's best off in highly aggressive decks or combo decks looking to cast multiple spells in a turn and not minding losing a bit of card advantage. In your case it's a liability and I would prefer to add in some more one drop creatures that can act as good early plays. Carnophage or Diregraph Ghoul both play this role spectacularly. I would go with the Ghoul as it may enter tapped, however doesn't cost you anything to keep around in the late game.

Lastly Dark Salvation is an excellent late game removal spell and could be used to fill the spots left by Blanket of Night. I think these changes will keep the deck in line with your current thematics as well as make your gameplay smoother. The only cards that might be hard to find is the Geralf's Messanger, and most are cheap to reasonably priced commons and uncommons.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks Tibor for the awesome suggestions.

I'm going to try them out and see how things go.
