Maybeboard

Hello everyone! This Muldrotha list is my pet deck, and I have recently been trying to change it around a bit. I have a few cards I am looking to cut for various reasons, but I don't have anything in mind to replace them with. If you have any suggestions, they would be much appreciated! Other than that, feel free to read through the description for a bit of explanation on the deck and how it works. I am still working on writing up the description, so it's not complete yet, but let me know if there are any questions you have and I can be sure to answer them. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my list!

Mana Lands: these are lands that I have included primarily for the ability to make mana with them or to mana fix. Even if there is another ability on the card, I am mostly running it for the mana production.

Ramp: Non land mana sources and ways to find lands.

Protection: These cards primarily help to combat hate and make it harder for my opponents to interrupt my game plan.

Advantage: These are included to help me either find more fuel for when I am going off, or to find the right card for the situation at hand.

Removal: These cards are used primarily to get rid of something I don't want to be going up against.

Hate: These are cards that I only really use to stop one specific thing in a game, whether it be a player, playstyle, or specific card, its all in here.

Finisher: These cards are to close out a game once I have gotten myself into a position to do so.

Engine: These cards are a way for me to continue grinding out value from some aspect of my deck. They keep me in the game once my resources start to dry up, or enable other cards to get me value.

Combo: Any cards purely dedicated to a combo go here. This means I really have no use for it outside of when I am going for it's combo.

Good: cards that I have in the deck and like, but that don't see enough play to warrant their inclusion. I want to replace these cards with a similar effect and try out some other options rather than replacing the card outright

Bad: These are the cards that I actively dislike playing. My playgroup is pretty casual, so this might be from them feeling overpowered, or from me just not liking the effect.

Also, there is definitely some overlap between categories and cards, so I have organized this into the categories based on what I personally use each card for most often.

The basic idea of this deck is to use Muldrotha as a toolbox to find answers whenever necessary. By usig the graveyard as an extension of your hand, you can have so many cards available to you that very few situations are truly unbeatable. I have focused on keeping as many instants and sorceries out of this deck as possible, because Muldrotha cannot do much with them. The basic strategy is to ramp up to a Muldrotha while stocking the graveyard, and start applying pressure to your opponents in whatever way you think is the most oppressive for that player's situation, while also being flexible enough to pivot into an entirely new plan at any moment. While you keep your opponents held down with your endless stream of answers to their board, you can build up a win condition of your own, choosing whatever strategy is the hardest for your enemies to deal with.

Most of the cards in this deck can be used in multiple ways, and by sequencing your plays correctly you can likely survive any situation you run into. The flexibility of the deck is my favorite aspect, because no two games are the same. You are playing a very reactive strategy, but one that can go on the offensive when the time is right.
