the Woodfall Primus comb doesn't work. the counters cancel each other out NUMBER wise, not EXISTENCE wise. so when it dies again, it would have a -1/-1 counter on it and thus not come back again

704.5r If a permanent has both a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter on it, N +1/+1 and N -1/-1 counters are removed from it, where N is the smaller of the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on it.
The counters literally cancel one another out. They are removed entirely, not just mathematically.

Asher18 it used to be like that, but only when the new mirrodin set was standard due to proliferate.

Have you thought about Duneblast? And maybe some more LTB effects?
Also, Strength of the Tajuru and Increasing Savagery would probably play well with Ghave.
March 26, 2015 3:29 p.m.
@purplebackpack89: Duneblast is too expensive a boardwipe. I prefer the 4 mana wipes so I can cast them and another spell the same turn.
Strength of the Tajuru and Increasing Savagery might interact well with Ghave, but they don't actually do anything to help me get closer to winning the game.
Thanks for the feedback.

@MCY998: Thanks for the +1. Corpsejack Menace doesn't really help with the game plan.

Ghostly Prison and Novablast Wurm JUST IN CASE>.
April 5, 2015 10:36 p.m.
Ghostly Prison only works against infinite tokens, which no one plays, and Novablast Wurm requires combat, which is something I tend to avoid.

One of the most powerful enablers I have in my UB combo deck (Apocalypse Project ) is Insidious Dreams. I think it would work quite well in this deck as well as some reanimation (Reanimate and Victimize).
Used correctly, these will allow you to set up your combos faster and with the use or less mana.

The additional cost clause is worrying. Without counterspell backup, that could potentially be disastrous for me. The card disadvantage seems too dangerous.

Unless you're intentionally sending creatures to the graveyard. Anyways, a lot of people feel the same way you do but in my experience, it all boils down to timing.
April 6, 2015 3:20 a.m.
I imagine it does. I would be more willing to try it out if I had more graveyard manipulation. As it is, I have minimal reanimation. Could change in the future, I'll have to do more testing.

The following cards are in testing and may be removed if deemed unsatisfactory.
- By extension Triskelion, Tooth and Nail, Woodfall Primus, and Kitchen Finks
Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
- By extension Tempt with Discovery
The following cards are on the short list to be replaced.
Juniper Order Ranger and Cathars' Crusade
- Their job is essentially covered by Mikaeus, who himself may be removed if I decide I don't like the combo. One can argue for redundancy, but I'm just not fond of the cards.

@klone13: Very nice, thanks for the suggestion. It's not something I've though of before. I'll definitely have to find a place for that.

What about Twilight Drover? That+Ghave, Guru of Spores+any sac outlet makes infinite mana
