First you pop a land, then a kiln fiend or a niv, then you spend as life as possible buffing your dude, and you swing for the win, and hope you don't miss. that'd sure suck.

I need a cheaper ($$ wise) alternative to gitaxian probe. while gitaxian is perfect, its price is out of my extremely limited budget. Looking for a card that lets me draw a card at the cost of life, instead of mana. prefer to keep it <1$ maybe one doesn't exist, but I'll keep looking.
