I had a spirit tribal deck that I was playing but decided to try out a more control/tempo based deck. So here's the break down.
1 drops Topplegeist if delerium is ever active and I have a few of these on the field I can potentially control the opponent's attacks.
2 drops Rattlechains I was in love with this card when I saw it spoiled and wanted to build around it. Flash it or any spirit into play. And when it etb give a creature hexproof. What isn't there to love? Pair it up with Rattlechains
+
Spectral Shepherd
and return it to hand and flash it in and give a creature hexproof. Yes its costly, but late game does it matter too much? Declaration in Stone Helps to deal with any creature that in multiples. Negate just a situational counterspell
3 drop Spectral Shepherd My second favorite spirit spoiled. The ability to bounce and give pseudo-evasion to creatures. Bring on the kill spells. Bygone Bishop With all my creatures being cmc 3 or less using him as a card draw engine isn't that bad. Always Watching An anthem that gives vigilance. Come on that is great. Stasis Snare Flash it in to deal with a pesky creature. Void Shatter Hard counter that exiles. Scatter to the Winds A hard counter that late game gives me a creature if needed. Reflector Mage Bounce one of their creatures and keep them off tempo.
4 drops Ojutai's Command What doesn't this card do? Either return a creature, draw, gain 4 life, or counter a creature. I like all those options.
