Oh also, Skyship Weatherlight Is a Great tutor for a deck like this, though the drawback is that its easy to get too ambitious and stick a bunch of your best cards under it, and then some jerk Blows it up, now you lost those cards for the whole game. I see the forge in your deck, so that would mitigate the chances of that happening somewhat. I have a Karn deck as well, and some people in my meta have taken to Running Hurkyl's Recall and Price of Progress So thats annoying. :)

Thanks Mithrandrir I hadn't even thought of Dross Scorpion
or Skyship Weatherlight
i will definitely have to pick those up. Dross Scorpion
is just to good not to use with Karn, Silver Golem
. So far my meta hasn't been bringing in any artifact hate, other then the normal exile target

I'm building my Karn deck as we speak, also. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/budget-karn-edh/
One question: Is your win condition typically one of your Eldrazi or your Darksteel Colossus? I ask, because I'm building one on generally cheaper cards, and I'm not including Eldrazi because I just want to keep it mono-artifact, anyway. Does it play out where you get win cons based on control/removal, much, or am I basically screwed if I don't throw in the big guys? The biggest hitters I've got in are Colossus of Akros , Darksteel Juggernaut , Platinum Emperion , Myr Battlesphere and Steel Hellkite .

@jtd200 truthfully its a combination of things but my big one is any creature that i can make indestructible or have it built into the card and put Worldslayer on it. Since that creature will still be alive AND have Worldslayer still equipped. Just need to get him to connect with trample damage or a flyer most times. Also there is a GREAT infinite combo with Myr Battlesphere for infinite myr tokens then when you swing you pump up and kill before combat damage happens. Karn budget is not very budget but i would (if possible) spend the extra money on All Is Dust its a colorless Plague Wind or In Garruk's Wake , the only problem with it is if there is anything that prevents sac effects on your opponents side its useless.

@BLUEKNOW2 True but Darksteel Forge
fixes that also i do have recursion and graveyard love with putting back in my deck. It is normally one of the first cards i tutor for.

Also if your win con is one big unblocked creature your missing Cathedral of War (I know +1/+1 ain't much but for free off a land ghat don't tap to do it is epic
August 20, 2014 9:17 a.m.
@Kozelek The Sol Ring
is missing because i ran out of them lol and then forgot to pick one up. I did consider Cathedral of War
but i didn't want lands that came into play tapped but i am now considering it to go back in since it is helpful if i do infact only swing with 1 creature and Blightsteel Colossus
is a must and i will need to put in deck. Do you have any recommendations to take out for those cards???
August 20, 2014 11:08 a.m.
I'll look more closely later (I'm at work just now) and come up with some cut options

Does the Arcbound Ravager end up working in a lot of your games? If so, how does it end up playing out - attack/block, then sac Myr tokens, or do you just sac items that get targeted for destruction, etc?
August 21, 2014 10:49 a.m.
@jtd200 Arcbound Ravager is more of a simple sac engine because of his ability to sac any artifact to gain counters then sac him self to place counters on something else. I also use him to "eat" things that are targeted by exile effects. That way i don't lose a combo piece or depending on board state shuffle my deck by saccing Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre . I do search for him time to time IF i am playing blue or green since they have ways of removing a LOT of my board state. He is also a HUGE savior against Merciless Eviction which just destroys this deck but he can sac a good amount to save it from being exiled. So he is kind of a save your butt card from losing stuff at least that's how i play him.
August 21, 2014 12:23 p.m.
Ah, got you! Don't believe he can sac Kozilek or the other Eldrazi, though, unless I'm mistaking you... But in the case of Merciless Eviction, how does saccing the artifacts save anything? Doesn't he/all of his counters end up in the graveyard, along with all the rest of your board?
August 21, 2014 12:49 p.m.
Ok A: with Mycosynth Lattice out everything is an artifact including eldrazi B: Merciless Eviction exiles so if he can sack they go to the grave where they can be retrieved with the likes of Myr Retriever
August 21, 2014 1:04 p.m.
Ahhh, now I got you. Yeah, I definitely need the Lattice in my deck - it's just one of the pricey ones. Once my normal opponents start running cards like those, I'll be forced to worry about answers more!

My play group is horribly competitive so having multiple answers to things is almost the only way to play if you want to win. lucky me i dont seem a threat until its to late with this deck.

Stopping combat damage? Maze of Ith is fun, though the fact that it doesn't produce mana might be a liability, as would be Pariah's Shield if you don't have any of your 3 Colossi out. Dolmen Gate is just nasty. Mourner's Shield is both graveyard hate AND damage prevention, and if you can exile a card with all the colors of your opponent's deck, you could essentially prevent all of their damage (and none of yours). Forcefield if you don't mind spending that much for one card. If you want to prevent damage to a creature, General's Kabuto and Magebane Armor are nifty. Bubble Matrix is fun, but it can be a liability as well. Glacial Chasm can buy you a few turns while you set up your combos.

Thanks polar!!! These are some great idea's and i will definietly be picking some of these up. My biggest issue is ETB damage and flying stuff so these are exactly what i was needing!

Mourner's Shield and Bubble Matrix will both help protect you from damage and are artifacts as well

Voltaic Construct is a very useful artifact to use with karn. It's an infinite combo with Karn and either Thran Dynamo, Grim Monolith, Basalt Monolith, Mana Vault or Dreamstone Hedron, and if you don't have karn of the field, it's an infinite combo with Metalworker. Also note that you can use that infinite mana to make Staff of Nin a creature and untap the staff an infinite number of times (or Myr Turbine, Planar Portal, Sensei's Divining Top, Trading Post.
Myr Turbine has actually proven to be very useful in my experiences with Karn decks, especially in combination with Clock of Omens. The number of Myr tokens you can get is insane, and they're easy fodder to sac for a Kuldotha Forgemaster, Helm of Possession or Trading Post for example.
Clock of Omens by the way is an insane card in artifact-heavy decks. The number of mana it can produce through a Mana Vault-type card or Metalworker (or untapping other utility artifacts) is amazing. I really underestimated it before I tried it. It's also pretty useful to untap your Monoliths at end of turn to save some mana. It also taps your own Static Orb and Howling Mine, which is a great way of abusing them fully. Personally I also use it to tap my own Blinkmoth Urn.
As a (sort of) mana rock, I suggest Cloud Key.
And as some removal, you might want to try Spine of Ish Sah, it's great is a deck with stuff like High Market, Phyrexia's Core and stuff.
Other stuff that might come in handy: Voltaic Key, Memory Jar, Shimmer Myr, Arcbound Reclaimer
Ghostfire Blade wouldn't do anything really... It's just a cheaper Vulshok Morningstar

IF you add Dross Scorpion to your Karn + Mycosynth Lattice combo when you pop an opponents land, you get to untap something. I use this to gattlinggun out everyones lands with a single land of my own being repeatedly untapped, but there are myriad other uses as well. Very nice deck! +1 from me
