I started building this deck a couple years ago, before it had any land recursion or any extra land drop cards. Omnath, Locus of Rage was the very first commander I tried building around. Since I was new to commander and wasn't ever very good at building decks, I eventually tore him apart before finding this competitive list and then wanting to build that to honor him as my first commander.

My Omnath deck typically leaves my opponents trembling in fear before the game even begins. Usually, I either get targeted out by the group before I can land the killing blow on everyone, or I just mercilessly kill everybody. The only time I have a hard time not getting annoyed is when someone is playing blue. Counters are annoying when you don't have a counter ready for the counters.

This is my favorite more competitive deck that I own. It feels satisfying when it wins, and it feels like it leaves plenty open for my opponents to actually have a chance against me.
