The Last March of the Ents

Commander / EDH Mono-Green

TheBlueTitan

Introduction

The lands of Argoth are bountiful and green. Titania listens to the silent whispers of the land; she, a voice of the verdant. A Malevolence approaches, the land awakens, disturbed. A mistake and lesson soon learned, the rocking of the sleeping land of Gaea's Cradle .

Forest

Titania was created because my username in most games is "TheBlueTitan". Her name has "Titan" in it, so my friends said I should try her out. They were pushing me to build a deck as well. Then I received a Gaea's Cradle off of PucaTrade, and here we are!

How to Play/Philosophy of Deck Show

  • You like playing both Modern Zoo and Legacy Lands and cannot decide which is more fun

  • You enjoy Nature Walks.

  • You're a Maokai, an Ivern, or a Tree main

  • You like playing tokens but you like uniformity

  • This strategy makes sense to you

  • You enjoy landfall, creating a lot of mana, and drawing a lot of cards

  • Each player in your playgroup runs weird tech like these

  • You find ramping, tutoring, drawing cards, and then overwhelming your opponents cliche

  • No judgment here, but you enjoy linear combo all-in and/or reactive control strategies, hating the spotlight

  • You don't like casting your commander

  • Your playgroup has a lot of Propaganda , Prison , and SOS effects

  • Your playgroup likes casting Armageddon effects early (late we don't care, we get a giant army out of it!)

The deck name is based off the scene in the Lord of the Rings, when the Ents march on Isengard. This reference might not make sense to you, but then again, you are very small.

Get some 5/3 Elementals together on the field. It really doesn't matter how many, after you hit double digits. Then, if your friends have no mana available to counter you, physically stand up on your chair, screech like Tarzan, and throw last turn's stack of 5/3 Elementals at the person you want to kill. Don't bother counting, it's 40.
Resolving an Armageddon or Ravages of War wins us the game. No we don't/can't run it. Yes, people don't read Titania sometimes.
If a draw engine and sac engine are set up, Gaea's Cradle honestly can draw the deck in a turn with the amount of mana and value it can produce. The card is awesome. If you can get your hands on one, sacrificing your entire mana base to Zuran Orb with Titania in play will generate an army and consequently an atrocious amount of mana when you tap Cradle .
End of your opponents' turns. They're tapped out, it's about to come your way. Sacrifice your entire land base and alpha strike to win the game. No guts, no glory.

I'm not a fan of Claws of Gix for a redundant Zuran Orb myself, as the mana cost is honestly a lot when you compare 1 mana to FREE when sacrificing lands end of your opponents' turns.

Sometimes you have a crazy high mana-generating turn that draws a lot of cards, and are able to pull off some nonsensical cycling through your deck with crazy high value . On these turns, you can amass an army, and accidentally drawing this card may well accidentally Expedite your win.
1.) If you have Foil Islands like these! for trade, let me know!

2.) Tell me what you think about the deck!

3.) You've tried out the deck yourself, what do you think?
