Mono Red Aggro.

The strategy is simple- get creatures on the board, turn them sideways and deal damage to the face.

This deck should do decent against mirror matches, as long as you start fast and keep swinging. You have plenty of turn one and turn two plays. Not to mention some good options for the later turns. I found this deck still did pretty well against Midrange. While I can get some smaller creatures out fast, if the opponent isn't dead by turn 5 or 6 it could become a problem. Rekindling Phoenix was a champ and won me a few games against Midrange. In my current meta, Rekindling Phoenix is still a GREAT card. Yes Lava Coil or Vraska's Contempt can remove it, but the card is simply far to good not to use. My only loss came to a control deck. This deck is positioned well against control. Its not always easy to resolve spells after turn two, but if you can get a few creatures out early and start turning them sideways you have a chance. My answer against control is Banefire. Banefire is your trump card so to speak. If you can deal some early damage, draw a couple of those throughout the game tap & + you can deal significant damage the opponent cannot counter.

Mono Red is still really good in the current standard format for now. This Build is a bit different then most you will find around, but its a build I like and fits what I like to do for an aggro deck.
