Fallentesla

I can see her being a board wipe but beyond that I don’t see her contributing much more to the deck. If I’m missing something please enlighten me.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Thank you to everyone who has given their ideas and suggestions.

Thank you to everyone who has given their upvote.

Without everything each and every one of you have given, this deck wouldn’t be what it is nor where it is.

I thank you all.

"Thank you to everyone who has given their ideas and suggestions."

Even the guy who suggested you 'try a less sexist deck name' lol?

I don't think he got the pun but the 'man up and vanished like a fart in the wind' when it was pointed out. Bonus points if you know where that quote comes from. What say you fuzzy britches?

Yes even him. His comment opened up a type of discussion among other community members I didn’t think could happen.

A difference of opinions brought forward in a polite and constructive manner.

I found it refreshing and enjoyed reading the different views.

I’d like to add Bontu's Monument but not sure what to cut for it. Suggestions?

40 creatures is a lot! In a deck based around sacrificing, that means you'll end up with plenty in the graveyard. Because of that, I think this would be the perfect home for Hallowed Spiritkeeper. Why settle for Afterlife giving you one or two tokens when the Spiritkeeper can net you an entire army in one go?

It is a lot of creatures but not as much sac fodder as one may think when you take away everything that isn’t.

For that reason I’ve opted for fodder with benefits over creatures such as Hallowed Spiritkeeper which can create but is also restrictive in its situational uses.

To high cmc, takes away from my sac fodder and offers to little value due to my use of the “afterlife” mechanic.

I do thank you for your suggestion.

Fair enough. I've never found the afterlife mechanic all that powerful in commander. Usually I like to be combo'ing with death triggers and recursion with cards like Faith's Reward , Thrilling Encore , Command the Dreadhorde , or Rally the Ancestors . Hope the deck finds you well.

Of the cards you’ve mentioned I’d use them if I wasn’t so sure they’d be countered in my meta.

I had to find ways to avoid a sudden spike in being a threat.

Afterlife is way for me to create more sac fodder kinda under the radar if you will.

The deck has performed incredibly well thus far. Just a couple times fell behind due to failing to draw land.

KibaAlpha If you want a nice tool to post deck changes is the update section. I use it to post how my standard or modern decks did in events and to post what changes I've made to the deck. This will allow for your comment section to not get swamped with deck updates and instead be strictly criticism, banter, and your responses to both.

Curious why you took out Massacre Wurm and Lifeline, where they not performing as well as you'd liked?

Massacre Wurm wasn’t getting me the value I had hoped it would. I found myself not getting the pieces on to the field soon enough to justify its cmc vs value. My meta doesn’t play creature heavy decks so when I did get it on the field it was usually to late.

I opted instead to continue to make my opponents sac their creatures and use Command the Dreadhorde to bring them back under my control as sac fodder.

Lifeline wasn’t recurring as many of my creatures as I had wanted as it only recurs those that die when it’s in play. Thought I could work around that but found Command the Dreadhorde to work better in the end.

Apologies, I did not receive any notification of your post. Thank you for the upvote. It's appreciated. I already watched one debate in my comments section over the deck name. I don't think I want to go through another over an alt art pic of Teysa.

KibaAlpha Don't worry, I don't mind the name. The internet will provide. huehuehuehuehuehuehuehue.
