IcyFire81 Captain's Claws isn't really a great card, and doesn't really go with this deck's theme in general. If you look at in the perspective that I could be playing a Goblin Chieftain, Goblin Rabblemaster, Goblin Piledriver, Tuktuk the Explorer or any other card instead of it, I probably would. It just isn't strong enough. The only equipment card that might ever be strong enough would be Umezawa's Jitte which is banned from modern haha :) Thanks for the comment and the suggestion though, and don't hesitate to post if you have any more!

Haha Sunbrosoulaire it's kind of sad that this would be considered a relatively cheap modern deck isn't it? Not that this is a budget deck or anything, but I personally payed a fraction of the costs. I'm in Canada, and the only thing that I payed for the price that it shows on here is Shared Animosity which was $8 when I got them. Oh and Warren Instigator, it was also that price. But otherwise I didn't spend close to $600 :) The price on the cards just skyrocketed after I got it actually, I'd have to say I was quite pleased indeed. I'm going to make an assumption that you're a newer player? If so, be careful haha, Magic can get super expensive. Whether you're someone who is willing to spend a lot or a little is fairly irrelevant too, because to be fair, the cards are able to be resold, and the more expensive they are, the rarer they are, and the easier they are to sell.

There are definitely some really cool budget decks people make too, I have seen quite a bit that I like a lot! It's crazy what some people come up with for 20-50 dollars. If you need any help on anything don't hesitate to ask, I'd enjoy helping out whether it is budget or non-budget!

Duckling Indeed, I am a relatively new to the mtg scene. However, I've been playing for a couple years casually with friends(none of us are very good lmao) anyway, my friend and I have decided to make legitimate decks after playing with random cards all the time. Hi, been a while since I commented on this deck last. How's it doing against the recent eldrazi decks? Had much chance to play it vs mono black or U/R eldrazi at all?

Oh, thought of a good sideboard card Fling they can have all the blockers in the world. They could have Blind Obedience on the board, but when you fling a pumped up denizen, or piledriver at their face. That's game over if they don't have counter magic.

I also thought of a way this could 'go off'' like splinter twin. Intruder Alarm which yes would mean splashing blue, but just because i'm mentioning it doesn't mean i'm saying it's the right direction to go down ;)

G'day ant_19 I'm glad you're still interested in the deck that's awesome! I have played against mono black, but not many people I play with actually play eldrazi aggro because they don't want to play that overpowered stuff haha. But it more often than not defeated the mono black eldrazi which was pretty cool. Legion Loyalist, Goblin Piledriver, and Shared Animosity were definitely the mvps. It gave me enough damage so that even if he was blocking, I didn't lose anything, which is really the main thing when you're against those decks. Thought-Knot Seer is obnoxious as heck though. I've also played against chord with mixed results. Warren Instigator would definitely be mvp for that, because you need to hit hard and fast against it, and when it happens it works. I'd say for the matchups I've been playing against it seems to be the hardest one right now.

Fling is definitely a good card, but against the decks that I feel as if it would be most useful in you're generally not going to be attacking a lot with creatures that strong. By that I mean you'll generally be wanting to play fast so that they can't get any board control, and you'll be utilizing your haste peeps and buffing them up and using all of your mana. Definitely something to keep in mind though, and if nothing else it definitely seems like a pretty good budget card!

Haha yeah Intruder Alarm is pretty cool, but yeah, I'm not interested in splashing blue at all haha. That would make it into more of control goblins which could actually be a really cool idea. But yeah, not interested in the :)

I changed to mono green infect. T2 to T4 wins now and I only need to do 10 dmg. Won our LGSs modern tournament yesterday 4-0. The deck is listed on my page. I traded in a Thought-Knot Seer for the entire deck and got change back lol.

That pretty cool Duckling I think the last time I properly commented you scooped up my Vexing Devil suggestion. So that's way back when the deck was a baby with about 15 upvotes. I have to say I love the idea of izzet based goblin control combo. Probably run swiftspear and a cantrip/counter package similar to U/R Delver but on a more goblin theme with enough control to protect a krenko-alarm infinite combo and spells like Slip Through Space to make swiftspear an aggro threat.

Yeah ant_19 that's awesome that you've been here since the start! That must've been when it was still in the 200s of damage haha. Vexing Devil has been really good to play giving an edge over other decks that are quick to react to goblin threats, they help to make it a bit quicker! If school slows down anytime soon for me, I might just have to try creating an izzet goblins! That could turn out to be a ton of fun haha.

Hi, nice deck! What do you think about Hellrider ? I think it would fit with Warren Instigator .. I am also thinking about using Reverberate in the deck - for copying Goblin Grenade and also for pulling back enemy spells hm?)

Hi there, sorry for the really late comment, I've been swamped with work as of late Zoool! I think Hellrider isn't fast enough generally speaking because if on turn 4 you actually have four lands out, chances are you don't have enough creatures to attack with that you'd prefer Hellrider over a lot of other things. It could work, but those are just my general thoughts :P Also, I don't think Reverberate is strong enough to be inlcuded, the mana cost, and the fact that the only spell worth copying would be Goblin Grenade, I feel as if it would be better to include something such as Vexing Devil if you really needed the extra damage. Tell me what you think, and thanks for the comment!! :)

You've probably been asked this before, but why are you only running 3 caverns? Being uncounterable is great.
