I would recommend Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for another lethal 21 commander-damageand Hatred for both flavor and 21 commander-damage as well.

_cheatyface_ - except Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is banned in commander.

Had you considered Vesuva over Thespians Stage? Comes in tapped, but no copying cost. Looks nice in foil.

Eye of Ugin for fetching Eldrazi Titans to pitch?

Planning on playing the new Emrakul?

I came here looking for ways to exploit Draco, you did not disappoint.

Big fatties want any ramp? Soldevi Adnate works like a better Priest of Yawgmoth IMO, but i feel either would work pretty good in your build. I like to roll them off of things like Dross Golem or Cathodion but that might be too niche to fit in here. Bringer of the Black Dawn can be a contender for a fattie slot too.

+1. I like the deck:). But Necropotence doesn't seem that good when you want to be discarding.

If you're using Necropotence you shouldn't have a need for discarding. Any card discarded with Volrath the Fallen will be pointless in your graveyard since you will be winning the game. (The one exception is Filth) If you're planning on playing a reanimator version of this deck, take out Necropotence, or just put in a few ways to get rid of it once you've gotten use out of it.

I've been playing this build slightly modified for about 6 months and I love it. The only real downside is not much interaction with opponents. However, one-shotting them in many different ways is interaction enough!

Would Illusionist's bracers cause you to have to discard another creature to get the effect again? I'm confused on this one

SomeDipshit says... #9

No. Bracers copies the effect, not the cost of the effect.

Nice deck + 1 Metalwork Colossus can be used 2 times in one turn to give you commander +22, you have plenty artifacts so imho it will be not a problem

Btw it can play nice with Summoner's Egg to hatch some scarry eldrazi titan ;-P

Nice deck, but I'm afraid I'm a bit of a scrub as I don't get the difference in what makes a deck "battlecruiser" as opposed to voltron. Near as I can tell, the only difference is that Voltron is built around making creatures big through pump effects/equipment, and Battlecruiser is just having big creatures and basically being a goodstuff build with minimal synergies.

But then the question comes to my mind that what stops Battelcruiser from being control?

Also, Grave Scrabbler. Not a big boost, but helps get strong creatures back.

Shadow of the Grave seems like a great auto-include for this.

I think razaketh, the foulblooded deserves a look here. Love the deck idea overall, inspired me to put one together. Volrath was always my favorite when I played during Nemesis

Besides entomb and summoners egg is there any way to get creatures on the board?

April 30, 2018 4:20 p.m.

nagonjin says... #21

Well, @huzuni, for cheating creatures out, he has Quicksilver Amulet, Sheoldred, Strands of Night, Artisan of Kozilek, tons of ramp, etc

Btw, linksdeity, have you considered using an accordion menu for this long description haha?

Maybe some more grave recursion would be dope, Reanimate, Zombify, Dread Return, Dawn of the Dead, Exhume, Animate Dead etc

June 8, 2018 1:50 a.m.

nagonjin says... #23

I don't necessarily think that reanimator is where @linksdeity wants this deck to be. It's primarily a Voltron deck with a mild recursion sub-theme, and the to-battlefield recursion needs to be permanent based, rather than a one-off spell. Normally he'll really the creatures to go back to hand so he can swing again with the Commander, or have the reanimator effect stapled to a creature he can discard in a pinch. Besides that, Things like Reanimate are too slow at sorcery speed and too costly in terms of life when you're getting back a 12cmc dude. He'll rarely want to sacrifice 3 of his creatures to get back a single one, also. As another person with a Volrath deck, this is what I assume this person's response would be.

chirz2792, Necropotence is a triggered effect, based on the new wording. Confirmed with a judge that he can place the effect on the stack, discard an Eldrazi Titan, reshuffle his graveyard, and then the Necropotence removal trigger removes 0 cards from Graveyard.

linksdeity, have you thought about Torgaar, Famine Incarnate for this deck or Oath of Ghouls?

June 14, 2018 3:58 p.m.

What a beautiful deck. And a lovely description. Well done!!
