Atarka Red, with a splash of black. Guess this technically makes this a Jund Red, since green was more or less being splashed before.

So what's different about this brew? Most notably, the addition of black, but it's all in the sideboard. Why? Hate against Abzan and Jeskai with Self-Inflicted Wound, and draw power with Painful Truths. Mainboard is your typical Atarka Red, with the notable exception of Temur Battle Rage, which I feel is largely unnecessary.

Den Protector is in the sideboard to bring back Abbot of Keral Keep and Reckless Bushwhacker for their effects. Arc Lightning gets multiple small targets out of the way, and fights back against a dead Hangarback Walker. Pia and Kiran Nalaar gives some flyers, with the option to burn if necessary.

What does the deck do? Burns, boosts, and plays fast. You can keep an opening hand with one land if you have options with it. It can hold its own against Abzan decks, and will do well against Jeskai decks.

What can't it do? Fight the Eldrazi, so far. There's no exile power, so when big guys hit the board, may as well scoop unless you have some serious burn spells in hand.
