Rifling through trash isn’t just for hobos and racoons. It’s also for upcycling demigod’s like, Anikthea, Hand of Erebos.

Making tokens out of enchantments opens up a world of refurbishing options for all that reclaimed refuse. The main card to watch out for is Song of the Worldsoul which, once it has been made into a creature token, can make copies of itself. Sling a few more spells and suddenly these things are populating like tribbles. Add in Parallel Lives and Anointed Procession for efficiency, which again, can get out of hand, if they themselves become tokens. Calix, Guided by Fate and Ondu Spiritdancer are also joining the production line to churn out a few more tokens.

But just how is our resident renovator Anikthea, Hand of Erebos going to find all this stuff in the dumpster and who is throwing away all precious junk anyway? Here’s who: Nyx Weaver, Overlord of the Balemurk, Gravebreaker Lamia, Ripples of Undeath, Shigeki, Jukai Visionary, Cemetery Tampering, and Demon of Fate's Design, can all help you trash those treasures. And that’s before we even look at those enchantments that volunteer themselves into the bin via sac, channel and cycle abilities. Aura of Silence, Seal of Doom, Font of Fertility, Touch the Spirit Realm, Cast Out and even Sinister Concoction which allows you to mill and discard as well.

Given we are playing an enchantress deck and will be drawing copious amounts of cards, we’re also bound to be sending a lot of our pre-loved possessions to landfill at EOT giving us more to work with. Speaking of our sanitation sensations; the whole gang of enchantresses is here, but special mentions go to Eidolon of Blossoms and Setessan Champion who activate on constellation ETBS, rather than cast, which is added synergy for tokens and copies entering.

Anikthea’s not just a lover of the pre-loved; she’s also a fighter, and a Menacing one at that. Her ability to empower her junkyard crew with menace is an amazing benefit, especially on Familiar Ground which she can use to make all enchantment creatures unlockable. Other buffs and polishes for our growing army of eco-warrior-zombies include Soaring Lightbringer in case cleanup duty takes them away from Familiar Ground, Boon of the Spirit Realm, Mirari's Wake and Weaver of Harmony are anthems that can keep the clean up crew going, especially if they are multiplied as tokens. Particularly good employees could be rewarded with special recognition in the form of Ethereal Armor, Ancestral Mask, Strength of the Harvest   or even a shout out or 10 from Nylea's Colossus.

With so many enchantment tokens entering we’ve never been more energy efficient in fuelling our constellation triggers. For the most part, if it ain’t an enchantment, we ain’t taking it. Read your recycling instructions people! Composer of Spring is particularly resourceful, especially when it comes to chaining her trigger with enchantment creatures one after another (providing she has six tow work with). Other constellations that shine up good-as new, but have gone unmentioned are Grim Guardian and Doomwake Giant. If there are a few token copying engines around, combined with the enchantress’s card draw, these can really pop-off and turn the game around.

To round out our rundown, let’s talk about Earthcraft. Because Earthcraft taps the creatures down itself, it can tap a token as soon as it enters. Creature token makers like Sigil of the Empty Throne and Hallowed Haunting are perfect for this. Combined with any ability that adds more than one mana to a basic land (Mirari's Wake, Nyxbloom Ancient, or even Fertile Ground) and you could be looking at a completely renewable energy source. Cast an enchantment, draw a card from your enchantress, get some tokens, tap them with Earthcraft to untap your lands, and use the mana to start the cycle over again. It’s the most energy efficient way to play, and let me tell you, we are operating at PEAK efficiency here. 54 cards our of 100 are enchantments here, so you will be hitting those constellation and cast triggers more often than not! But the most obscure hidden treasure of the deck is Broken Fall, which can be played and recast an indefinite number of times providing you have the mana, allowing you to keep hitting those triggers even if you’ve only drawn into lands.

Now don’t forget to recycle when you trash your opponents!
