This deck focuses on tax effects to make each choice in the game painful. There is lifegain built into the deck to help negate the negative effects on you.

Noteable Combos: Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond to kill the entire table in the same turn. Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite + Kormus Bell + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to remove everyone else's lands and prevent them from playing additional lands. You can substitute Ethereal Absolution for Elesh Norn as a budget option.

Noteable Inclusions: Rug of Smothering looks like a crappy card, but puts in some serious work in this deck, forcing people to either lose an increasing amount of life or play fewer spells per turn.
