Maybeboard

Essentially, a Golgari control deck. When I think about "ideal" magic, my thought goes to stories of old tournament play. When you hear people talking about game winning moments, it always comes down to both players having answers for things - and if they don't have answers for things, they have ways to reliably dig for them.

Stickfingers is probably one of my favorite legendaries, and I'd been trying to figure out how to make the best use of him for a while. Back in October, I taught a friend how to play. One of the things I explained to him was that, if you build your deck right, your graveyard is just an extension of your hand. And so things clicked.

Doing The Thing
The Thing for this deck is milling creatures with useful effects into the graveyard, recurring them to your hand, and then playing them as needed. Stickfingers' on-cast trigger effectively guarantees that at least a few of them are available right away. That's really the big thing here: Your graveyard is your toolbox.
Oh, and we have a few ways to sacrifice creatures for value. You know, if you need to play that Ravenous Chupacabra again.

Ultimately, this deck has a lot of answers, all of which gradually prep us for taking over with a more explosive, game winning play.

Winning With The Thing
Of course, there is a wincon.
First: Stickfingers commander damage. We are aiming to control the board, and stickfingers himself is not that expensive to cast if X is 0 - even if he's got some tax. So we just need to get him in and get him swinging. Brawn definitely helps with this.
Second: Living Death. Our graveyard is going to be full of creatures. A lot of those creatures remove other creatures when they enter. Cast a living death, break parity, swing for big numbers.
Third: Massacre Wurm. Combine with Living Death, or Massacre Girl, or Culling Ritual, or really anything. It kind of just does its thing on its own, too.
Four: Ygra, Eater of All in combination with a wipe like Massacre Girl or Culling Ritual. Eat your wheaties and swing.
