Oops, never mind, permanents phasing in don't trigger "enters-the-battlefield'' effects. Oh well.

Dream Fighter is a good chump blocker and it goes into the theme with your general

hmm I'll have to look into it, thanks.
I'll have to reprice the entire deck for changes (if I want to stick to the original rules) so it's a bit more work than I want to do right now, haha.
I'll definitely look at revisiting this deck again, even though I can't really use it in my playgroup anymore.

do you still have in mind to update this deck? I'm building one and I think the decklist is very ok for a budget deck, but I think it can be improved without spending a lot, it's a list from 2014, a lot of new things have appeared.

Sorry, prices have changed so much that it’s no longer a $10 deck.
Yes, there’s plenty of newer cards that are still budget that can be used.
I’d say run with it if you find this to be a fun commander, as that’s what commander is all about.

Yes, it's a really fun deck to play, but I'm sure I'll be the most focused at the table precisely because it slows down everyone's game lol

Yes the solo blue commander needs to be played politically, where you only counter big things to not make too many enemies.
Especially since this one is so weak otherwise. I mainly used this as a deck everyone underestimates until it is too late.
Your commander literally Time Walks you every other turn, so it can’t even be played unless you have a combo piece, and even then if they remove that piece, you are still kind of screwed. That’s why I put a decent amount of ramp and card draw/selection in the deck as well.
Only counter spells the other players will thank you for countering. Never counter someone’s ramp or something like that.

Exactly, I've even seen other Taniwha deck models that use Darksteel Forge, Mycosynth Lattice, focusing on artifacts and infinite mana, but it's much more expensive than even though I think it's really cool, I wonder if it's worth it, I believe it can be mixed into a deck functional with these various lists.

My boyfriend just pointed out to me that using this with a landfall effect would break this really hard, your lands phase in and out each turn or so.
Roil Elemental , Hedron Rover , Adventuring Gear , Hedron Scrabbler , Ior Ruin Expedition , Windrider Eel .
Let me know what you think!
+1 from me :)
