Updated build of Modern Living End with some of the newer cycling cards. With the addition of cards such as Desert Cerodon and Horror of the Broken Lands Living End is suddenly buffed up with a full stock of one mana Cyclers and the overall power of creatures available have been upgraded. With my current build I have decided to go full steam with the 1 mana cyclers only including 1 Twisted Abomination as a solo landcycler. There are only a few exceptions to cycling with the non-land cards in the deck such as Fulminator Mage. The mage is just 2 good to cut since it gives you an edge vs most decks that run non-basic lands that you just got to kill to get them on the backfoot. Beast Within is your staple removal spell which can destroy any permanent even lands when it makes sense. The 3/3 beast token can later serve as a target for Demonic Dread so you can cast Living End and load out your own beasty creatures.

The 2 best cyclers are hands down Desert Cerodon and Horror of the Broken Lands. With 3 of these guys ready to swing you will often have enough damage on your opponent to threat for lethal on him. An unblocked Horror will always threat for additional damage if you have further cards in hand. Street Wraiths ability to cycle with no mana open can be the one thing needed to win one turn earlier than expected. Lurching Rotbeast hits harder than Architects of Will and is much easier to cast when you need to. A slightly lower toughness shouldn't matter much, both creatures will die to cards such as Lightning Bolt anyways.

Originally I tried using Archfiend of Ifnir as part of the main deck since it is a powefull flyer that will kill small threats pretty easily. One drawback is the 2 mana cost to cycle and in most matchups you just want to cycle as much as you can and do a turn 3 or 4 cascade play into Living End for the win. Archfiend slows the deck down a bit and I prefer to roll out those cyclers in an aggressive manner when I can.Certain matchups can be tricky and that's why I would include Archfiend of Ifnir as part of my sideboard. The very best card for Living End to use vs Burn which is a bad matchup is Brindle Boar. If you get your hands on 2 or more boars in such a matchup and you get to cast Living End later on it is most likely they will lose. Crumble to Dust is perfect against Tron. A good way to cripple their mana base. Leyline of the Void is in there to stop Dredge which totally wrecks Living End. Dredge is what I would consider the very worst matchup so you need something and the Leyline is just the right weapon.
