Maybeboard

Go see this guy's description...

This deck is devoted to having a fun gameplay experience where everybody gets to really show their deck off and enjoy playing Magic.

On deckbuilding:
a. Variety is King
Between instant density and large numbers of draw cards, the deck is built to always have answers.
b. Options are Queen
Whenever possible, cards were chosen with the largest target selection.
c. Low to the Ground
Especially for enabling cards (ie. draw, ramp) to improve consistency mana costs are considered.
d. Politics
Some choices were made purely for the political options available. Keen Duelist, especially.
e. Instant Coffee Only
Sorceries do not work with Toshiro, and are omitted where feasible.

On Tactics
a. When to Play Toshiro
I've found two circumstances when getting Toshiro out makes sense; either to provide early acceleration via double cast Succumb to Temptation's or to dominate the board in the late game. Before playing Toshiro, decide what your objective is, and expect answers if you do not utilize him immediately and correctly. He's gonna die, protection suite or not. It is not recommended to play him just cause' you have the mana.
b. How to Kill Things
Duh. Kill everything, right? Wrong. Your kills are instant speed, and while it's almost certain you have the option at any time, your opponents need to have hope that you won't for the game to become "fun" when you do. Play politics, be cooperative, and realize that betrayal is the best form of murder.
c. How to Kill Players
The deck is not good at winning, it is good at making the game "fun". Your options are overcast Torment of Hailfire, a lucky Fated Return, or Voltron damage. Try to get small hits with Toshiro and politic players off the board before going for a big swing with Lashwrithed Toshiro.

Challenges
a. Life Total
Bolas's Citadel and Necropotence, the various small life loss instants, and a number of other sources make this deck play suicide black, which is not where it wants to be.
b. Consistency
Aside from some explosive Cabal Coffers and Blood Pact driven starts, the deck can run out of answers before stabilizing.
c. Stability
Toshiro plays a defensive game; stabilizing the situation such that your opponents attack each other and avoid you is difficult.

Notable Omissions
a. Switfoot Boots & Co; these have been omitted in favor of black instants that can "protect" Toshiro such as Corpse Dance and Malakir Rebirth  .
b. Sol Ring & Mana Rocks; With the low CMC of answers in the deck, acceleration is not needed to get the hoped for board state. Winning can be done slowly and does not need the explosive power of mana enhancers beyond the Cabal Coffers complement.
