Since you seem to be working a lot with +1/+1 counters, Solidarity of Heroes would probably be helpful. Also, Colossus of Akros while its not a hydra, if you can ramp into it quickly enough its still rather entertaining and a pain to deal with.

I actually really like your deck setup you have going, but the only problem I have is Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx . Because you don't have an abundance of one type of creature, this could could be replaced with another land especially when it's a legendary. Only time you would is when you already have your boardstate basically finished with Broodmaster massing out tokens, other than that, fun setup you have going.

Hey, I've made a BUG deck based on your shell The oncoming storm, after our showdown I've been thinking a lot about: ramp --> prophet --> genesis hydra, and how to do it best. Anyway, I've thought about BUG (best build so far), RUG (currently a mess), Junk (theoretical), and UG (theoretical). I'd be interested in any feedback you could provide on the BUG build.

P.S. With the UG and excess ramp, I was thinking about Military Intelligence and Illusory Angel , it seems that these cards could give value to a mid/late game draw of an otherwise crappy mana dork. Also I what about either Bident of Thassa or Kiora, the Crashing Wave in the main at the 4 CMC slot to get that midgame draw power. I feel like these ramp builds need draw power to pull ahead on a stalled board state, (or heavy counter/removal -even tempo). Thoughts?

On the note of the comment I made before, I was delirious due to lack of sleep and was thinking of another permanent that added mana based on creature type. You can basically ignore me talking about that. My bad... lol

For Ramp, in my deck i use Karametra's Acolyte for mana and Voyaging Satyr to untap Nykthos

I used to run Voyaging Satyr's, but Kiora's Follower does the same and more (plus one more attack)

Karametra's Acolyte has always been on my maybe-maybeboard. I like the card, but I feel like courser is a better mid-range ramp as it lets me get my lands out, and once I can get Nykthos onto the field, I don't have mana problems anymore.

I like Bident of Thassa. I have considered switching Nissa and Kiora, or finding a way to put them both in. Haven't quite played enough with it to figure it out.

I didnt know Military Intelligence was a thing. Interesting card for card draw. Would combo well with Prophet of Kruphix.

Nice deck! The deck runs well and the cards have good synergy. I might consider adding another Hydra Broodmaster because it is a very efficient creature, and in a ramp deck like this, its monstrosity could be very frustrating to play against. I might also sugest adding a Gyre Sage for more fun ramp if you want to play modern (my favorite format).
