i LOVE LOVE LOVE this deck though. any creature out first turn with that combo, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur , Iona, Shield of Emeria , and Magister Sphinx already make me rage. especially since it's almost impossible to counter first turn, only if they have a Force of Will .

ooh and sorry for triple posting, but if they see your iona come out turn one, they're going to board for that, especially if you DONT board. so if you had more than one combo mainboard, it'd be mass chaos :P

have you considered Blightsteel Colossus ? he's rather risky for Reanimate at 12 cmc, but he'd work perfectly well with an Animate Dead , and if you pulled that combo on first turn, he'd b another wincon.

sorry i keep blowing up your post, im just really interested in this deck! :P so how would sideboarding work?

@SplodyCopter hehehe thanks for the advice! and bad news, you can't reanimate Blightsteel Colossus because of his ability. : / and have you +1 my deck already :P

Akroma, Angel of Fury = for blue white decks :)

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Blazing Archon = for aggro decks especially those with infect deck

Platinum Angel = for infect deck so you wont lose the game early.

Akroma, Angel of Wrath = for black and red decks or just for fun :D ill switch her with Sphinx of the Steel Wind

Empyrial Archangel = for burn decks

Inkwell Leviathan = if the deck has more removals so im going to use its shroud and especially if my opponent is blue so i can use its islandwalk ability

card:Tormod's Crypt = for against reanimator decks also

Null Rod = for decks who use artifacts, especially storm decks

Pithing Needle = for planeswalkers or anything dangerous :D

haha i had not, i thought i had. but i have now! and i understand what they're for, but i mean what would you take out? creatures for creatures obviously but Pithing Needle Null Rod and card:Tormod's Crypt can't really replace creatures right? well i guess they kind of can since youre just reanimating them :O hm.

@SplodyCopter maybe i will replace 3x Extirpate and 1x Animate Dead :D

This deck is wrong on so many levels... Imma gonna build it! :D

If your looking to be annoying add Prince of Thralls to that list. Still so wrong... Try Sheoldred, Whispering One ... Defiler of Souls would be funny to watch. Any of the Elder dragons. Inkwell Leviathan is one I whole heartily support. Platinum Emperion .... possible even Abyssal Persecutor just to watch them go "WTF!? Really?"

i think a Reya Dawnbringer could really go well in place of 1x Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur . three just seems redundant /:

@Zachariah_Skithiryx: Protection works in the graveyard?

December 11, 2011 1:11 p.m.

solron22 says... #15

@SplodyCopter i already have Sheoldred, Whispering One which is the same as Reya Dawnbringer right? or reya is much more better? maybe ill remove 1x jin and switch it with Tidespout Tyrant hows that sound??

December 11, 2011 7:26 p.m.

@Jokernaught no it doesn't, it's the transfer to the grave. as it's going, you can't target it with coloured spells, and when it hits the graveyard, it all shuffles back into your library. So no, it doesn't work in the graveyard, but does when it's going there. This is only personal experience with the rules etc and that's how we play around where I am, so if I'm wrong, well then so be it.

I think your right though. I did find a loop hole with A original mirridon block card that said all spells are colorless. not sure on the name target with O-ring or Path to Exile after that.

SplodyCopter says... #18

ah yeah you're right sheoldred is way better, but i think Charnelhoard Wurm would work well, to snatch a Dark Ritual or a Reanimate back from the graveyard in a tight spot. admittedly, not many decks can put this deck in a tight spot lol...

I could see maybe a blue spell putting a couple well placed wrenches into the works. Maybe...

Mental Misstep could do the trick. or Force of Will . but if this deck goes first turn and mulligans to a good hand, he can put out an Iona, Shield of Emeria and oh look no more counters plz.

December 12, 2011 12:33 a.m.

Jokernaught says... #21

True... hmm. Well Mental Misstep could always be paid with 2 life. Same with a Force of Will except any blue card. And you could always mulligan for the right cad too.

December 12, 2011 12:37 a.m.

solron22 says... #22

Mental Misstep is banned in legacy (last time i check) and Force of Will is so expensive and im trying to build/play this deck only a mono-black type deck in any upcoming legacy tournament :)

Jokernaught says... #23

we are checkin you weak points. I could see Holy Day being a nice way to halt your mega damage for a turn. maybe if they got lucky the could throw down Safe Passage too. or a well placed Path to Exile . Of course You would play Akroma, Angel of Fury if you was versus white.

December 12, 2011 6:05 a.m.

SplodyCopter says... #24

hahaha yeah i forgot about Mental Misstep being megabanned! that's great. Holy Day only presents a problem for one turn. and if they Path to Exile something, you can probably cheatyface it again next turn anyway, and they're tapped out.
