Animate Dead has been sitting on the maindeck for a long time and its also great. Then I realize that Goryo's Vengeance is much better, cause you can use it to "reanimate" Emrakul, the Aeons Torn .

Just in case you have the following cards in hand:

1x Dark Ritual

1x Entomb choosing Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

1x Goryo's Vengeance

If you don't want to side in all three Urabrask the Hidden , Magister Sphinx , and Sharuum the Hegemon ; and since Iona, Shield of Emeria is already a starter, you can just side in a Painter's Servant for a T1 win guarantee. You don't even have to guess the correct color to call! Solves multi-color problems as well. Additionally, you can use 2x Entomb s instead of just Buried Alive with the double Reanimate . Furthermore, if the 2x Entomb s are used, you can use an Exhume with a Reanimate . These options slightly increase the chance of drawing a T1 winning hand. On a side note, Avacyn, Angel of Hope pairs great with Empyrial Archangel or Palisade Giant ...

Hell, if the Painter's Servant ends up in your opening hand, you can just hard cast it before or after you bring Iona, Shield of Emeria out.

Swamp + Lotus Petal + Dark Ritual + Entomb + Reanimate + Painter's Servant + Any Card Here

Swamp + Dark Ritual + Dark Ritual + Thoughtseize (opponent) + Entomb + Reanimate + Painter's Servant

Just a couple of the possibilities...
