Creature (2)

Enchantment (3)

This deck tries to abuse the synergies between the Hellbent Mechanic and Blood Scrivener.

The deck disrupts the early game with targeted discard (Thoughtseize, Duress, and Inquisition of Kozilek) and removal. It can also turn on the aggro with Young Pyromancer and Goblin Guide early game.

The idea is to not be afraid of emptying your hand to take advantage of Blood Scrivener . If you have dead cards in hand, you can discard them to Gathan Raiders , which also helps empty your hand, and then have a draw engine + big creatures.

The burn and removal clears the path and fills the yard for Tombstalker to be cast for only a few mana.

I changed the SB quite a bit. Blood moon is just so good it had to come in. I also needed some answers to Affinity, even though that MU should be decent with 12 MD removal spells. With combo becoming a bit more played (because it beats Eldrazi), I added the wrench minds, but I'm not sure they are the best.

I really think this deck has some potential. Especially given the new red discard outlet Ravenous Bloodseeker. He might come in for young pyro, which gives the deck a slightly different feel. Pyro is more grindy, while bloodseeker is more aggressive.

I might also replace incinerate with Burst Lightning. I had success with it in my UR list, and the one mana difference might be relevant. I don't know if I'll ever get to 5 land with this deck, but that could be useful too.

Either way, I like the synergy of the deck and I hope to try it out sometime soon.
