Maybeboard


My goal is for this to be a viable midrange "control," disruption, and punishment/group slug type of deck for multiplayer. Zurgo Helmsmasher is not really the focus of the deck, but he can serve as a very threatening distraction, or a legitimate finisher. Most of the time, I don't see myself casting him without Assault Suit ready to go, but that's where the typical card inclusions end. I want to keep the board state in check with rattlesnakes and death effects, while speeding up the game with life drain and punishment effects. I don't want to play hard stax because it will paint a target on my head, and I'd prefer for this deck to run under the radar until it's too late. I prefer cards that allow my opponents the illusion of choice, like Mogis, Athreos, and Painful Quandary . Basically, make it so they're often screwed either way. There is also a minor discard theme, because I love Waste Not and think it's an incredible value engine. I also want to have a decent Sunforger package to throw monkey wrenches like Wild Ricochet , but I'm not sure if my other inclusions are enough to make it worthwhile.

Thoughts, comments, criticisms? Is this a dumb idea? What am I missing, and what do I really not need? Any feedback is appreciated!
