this deck uses devotion to make massive amounts of mana, and then obliterating your opponent with big creatures.

Devotion Rampers:

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx,This is one of two cards that glues this deck together. the purpose of Nykthos is to generate massive amounts of mana using all of the devotion heavy green creatures in the deck. This card is very abusive with Predator Ooze,Primalcrux, and Garruk Wildspeaker.

Karametra's Acolyte, This creature is the other go to devotion ramp card. This card, like Nykthos, Is essential to getting your deck on the big fatty train.

One Drops: Llanowar Elves, mana ramp self explanatory.

Ulvenwald Tracker, this card is mainly used as suto removal. this card combos with Primalcrux by killing your opponent's creatures or smacking your Hornet Nest to get 8-16 flying 1/1 deathtouch insects. this card also helps grow your Predator Ooze by last hitting your opponent's creatures that have low power.

Two CMC: Moment's Peace, best fogg ever printed.

Winds of Qal Sisma, sub this card out for Moment's Peace if i'm playing modern.

Three CMC: Predator Ooze, This is the big devotion bomb in the deck. The reason this creature is chosen out of all the other triple creatures is because this deck needs board stall until one of the win cons can be played. being extremely difficult to remove and being able to block indefinitely make this card an all star in this deck.

Hornet Nest, this card is purely for game delay. Ask yourself who would want to swing into a creature that can produce so many flying deathtouch creatures? This card is also in here to try and draw removal so that the bigger creatures in the deck last longer.

Courser of Kruphix, with this creature the deck gets a lot of utility in one card. first off you get a solid devotion boost from the double green in the mana cost. He serves as a great blocker as well as helping gain back any lost life. The most important feature of this card is its ability to help clear lands from the top of your library so that you draw gas faster. This card also combos incredibly well with Rites of Flourishing.

Rites of Flourishing, This is one of my favorite magic cards ever made. This card helps accelerate the game. drawing lots of cards and playing lots of lands helps this deck in the late to mid game and should only be played if you have no 3 drop creatures or your hand is nearly empty.

Win Conditions.

Primalcrux, This card is a monster in this deck. this is the main big creature you are going to try and cast. With its power and toughness equal to the number of mana symbols of permanents you control makes it on average a 12/12 or higher. if your opponent cannot kill this creature before you swing with it you will have almost won the game. with your deck using devotion so heavily you should be able to kill your opponent with 1 to 2 swings. this card also builds towards your other win conditions (Artisan of Kozilek,It That Betrays,Primal Surge).

Artisan of Kozilek, This guy is a big fatty that is either going to cripple your opponent, or win you the game via annihilator 2, its 10 power, or reanimating a Primalcrux. the reason that this eldrazi is here as opposed to any of the other ones is that ulamog is out of my budget ,and i feel that the Primalcrux is going to get removed so by playing this guy you can bounce back by forcing them to remove 2 big creatures instead of one.

It That Betrays, I just really love this card. From the artwork to how game ending one swing can be with it.

Primal Surge, Now this is a card at first glance you might think Wait why is this here couldn't you play Genesis Wave and it be much better? and the answer to that is not really. Genesis Wave would be considered more of a side grade than a better choice. You see with Primal Surge you end up casting nearly your entire deck. Seeing that only about 8.1% of the deck runs nonpermanent cards so it is very unlikely you will wiff. With Genesis Wave the problem ends up being you need to cast the spell for 9 mana in order to even be able to hit Primalcrux, and if you pay 9 mana you can only look at the top 6 cards of your library. Were as if you cast Primal Surge for one more mana you will most likely end up casting half of your deck and if you opponent can't boardwipe that turn you win. If you would have had Genesis Wave you would have needed to feed much more mana to be able to filter through half of the deck.
