Time for Temur action at the FNMs! I followed Temur throughout he spoilers from the very beginning and finally I've made a what I hope to be a good competitive deck. If you have any suggestions or advice, let me know down in the comments section. I'm struggling on the sideboard the most so if you guys have help with that, please let me know. If you like the deck then give it +1! Thanks!
Let's Break it down shall we?
Walker Bundle:
Kiora, the Crashing Wave-Locking down opponents creatures is the most fun thing about her and has saved me many times. The -1 is nice with again, Courser of Kruphix for that extra life and mana. Sometimes I'm able to pump out 9/9s every turn with her emblem and I mean c'mon 9/9s!
Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker-This guy's a lot of fun. Most of the time I'm swinging 4 with him every turn, all while building him up for what I like to call a kill spell. I usually don't use his emblem because of the discard, but when I do the 2 extra card draw is wonderful and I usually play it all before I discard at the end of my turn.
Xenagos, the Reveler-I just can't say enough good things about this guy. He literally can help me no matter what situation I'm in. Perhaps my opponent wipes the board clean, well he's here for me. Or maybe I'm almost there in finishing my opponent with a Crater's Claws, yep he's got it covered. And it's always satisfying to pop off that ult of his.
Instants and Sorceries:
Crater's Claws-A few people I know (me included) believed this card to be an upsetting rare because it's not instant speed...well that was a huge understatement. Crater's Claws is a magnificent finisher or even removal spell. If my creatures aren't able to swing in for the kill, I'm ready to burn them to a crisp with my fiery claw of death.
Lightning Strike-It's probably the best burn spell in here. It gets rid of early creatures and/or planeswalkers. Its very good deal for .
Temur Charm
-The options with charms is a lot of fun for me. I've used this mostly for the counter and creature brawling but the last option is still good for chump blockers to get out of your way.
The Fat Asses:
Stormbreath Dragon-My main man, the fattest of them all. This is quite obviously the best red creature there is in standard. The protection from white is extremely useful for those pesky removal spells like
Smite the Monstrous
and a couple charms. Now I don't normally use the monstrosity because I spend my mana on other thigs but when I use it, man does it work well.
Savage Knuckleblade-Okay this guy's pretty saucy. He's a 3 drop 4/4 and possibly with haste for . But I absolutely the pump with him and the evasion is just an added bonus. He's won plenty games in my name.
Polukranos, World Eater- I feel like his title is self explanatory.
The Worker Bees:
Couser of Kruphix
-Easily the main function of the deck. She supplies mana ramp and catching up from all the pain those fetches and pain lands are giving me. Not only that but she's able to help out other functions of some of my other cards like Kiora, the Crashing Wave , I love this card.
Sylvan Caryatid-A solid mana fixer...nuff said
Anyway I hope this break down of my deck helps you consider your suggestions and helps you understand what does what. Happy decking! :P
