Hello there! Lets check out the first modern deck I have built, and its my most precious deck because of that!Feedback is greatly, greatly appreciated, although I know the deck is already pretty good, hehe.
CREATURES, from cheapest to most expensive (in terms of mana)
Student of Warfare
is an awesome creature. We only run two because it can be a worthless mana sink at times, but when it stays on the battlefield, its a monster.
Figure of Destiny
is one of the star Boros 1-drops. Its REALLY good, and once you hit 6 mana it pretty much wins the game.
When I was building this deck, I was very skeptical about
Boros Swiftblade
. 2 for a 1/2 with double-strike? Its not amazing, but its okay. NO! Its actually an awesome 2 drop, because when buffed, this thing is a monster. a game-winner. Main win condition, or main creature to get your opponent into burn range.
Boros Reckoner is just a really good 3 drop. Blocking? You can have first strike, or deal pretty much any amount of damage. They can't block it, and they certainly can't Lightning Bolt it. "I will Lightning Bolt my Delver."
Brimaz, King of Oreskos is freakin' crazy. Seriously. Not much needs to be said, just look at this amazing creature.
Instants~
Titan's Strength Blowout with anything that has Double-Strike slapped on it. Scry is really important to make sure that we're drawing gas.
Boros Charm was crazy in standard, and its astounding in modern. Protect your army from boardwipe? Already A+++. 4 Damage, no questions asked to an opponent? Nice! Double Strike is very handy as well. If you're good at piloting the deck, you know we can give their creature double strike if they block a Boros Reckoner.
Lightning Helix
. I THINK there could be something more suited to my deck, but this is what I have right now.Its just a great removal spell with an added bonus. Super sweet card. Pretty good reach which replenished life we lost from our shocks and fetches. Mostly shocks.
Lightning Bolt its Lightning Bolt. Not much to say here.
Emerge Unscathed punches through our opponents creatures TWICE!! If your opponent has no creatures, you can save our creatures from their pesky removal, and them get protection through your whole next turn.

Ash Zealot Makes Snapcaster Mage suck. Its also a 2/2 with Haste and First strike, which is awesome. When I side it in, it usually replaces

Magma Spray is for Izzet Delver. It kills everything in the deck, except for a Monastery Swiftspear with a activated Prowess.
Tormod's Crypt is simple graveyard hate. Nothing much else.
wear/tear
. Come on, we're in modern here people! Gonna need at least two of them.
Spirit of the Labyrinth
fight control strategies, and is pretty alright on its own, 3/1 is nice to have.
Change your Landbase to your heart's content. I do not like lands that come into play tapped with this deck, and I don't think purchasing x4
Arid Mesa
is very justified right now. The rest of the Khans block WILL give us the Zendikar fetches.
