Game Day Results —Feb. 15, 2015

Ended up tied for second place in today's Game Day. Beat a Boros deck round one, 2-0, lost 0-2 to Abzan aggro, and then went 2-0 against a mono-green deck. The Abzan list got off 3 Siege Rhinos in a row and i just couldn't cope, and then game two got he had a Rakshasa Deathdealer and two Fleecemane Lions in his opening hand and I just couldn't keep up at all.

Decided on trading another Scoured Barrens out to replace it with a 4th copy of Dismal Backwater. That mana fixing seemed to do a lot of good for me. Also pulled out both Jace's in order to mainboard a second Aetherspouts and include a copy of The Chain Veil. Both seemed very helpful. Can't hardly go wrong with Aetherspouts and then The Chain Veil just allowed me to speed up alot more and finish games much more quickly. I had assumed I'd be using it alot with elspeth, the sun's champion and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, but in fact it turned out that doubling up on Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver to steal three cards and then play something all in the same turn was extremely powerful, along with doubling up on Liliana Vess's discard ability. I'm looking forward to more play testing with The Chain Veil for sure. Still interested in Palace Siege but without much play testing I didn't make that change before today's tournament. As always, any suggestions are appreciated.

tl;dr - Tied for 2nd place in the Game Day. Cut 2 Jaces, added in an Aetherspouts and The Chain Veil. Did a last bit of mana tweaking.
