I think you meant that Dragonlord Atarka is the father-in-law. Gotta know how the cards are related dude.

Looks like a nice heavy hitter build completely different from the way I am testing my build.

Surrak Test deck

how does your deck stack up in your community? By what turn do you take control or start taking your opponents out? I tried a heavy hitter build but found that a high average CMC just didn't work where I play.

Unfortunately, I ended up moving this deck to all colors with The UR Dragon at the helm because black has great draw engines and white has strong wraths and mass removal. I typically got moving by turn 5 to 6. Dragons are definitely an all-in deck which is why my Ur-Dragon deck is basically draw cards, RAMP and 4 wrath spells.

If you go Heavy hitter Temur, your going to need effective ramp spells, mixed with ways to each creatures out. If you go the Jund route, your going to have effective draw and spot removal available to you with black. I've found Surrak to be better in the 99, but that also speaks to the type of mtg player I am. Thanks for the post!

Thanks for your feedback. My heavy hitter is a all out Scion the ur dragon. Works really well but lately everyone in my community knows it too well. too much 3 against 1.

Yeah, Scion of the Ur-Dragon can be tough to win with because everyone knows the deck can possibly insta-kill someone with the right combination. I like The Ur-Dragon better, but I'm also not a combo player.

Well for many years I have tried to make decks with great synergie but no combo's. My scion is such a deck. Pure heavy strong synergie deck. No infinite anything. But lately the community I am playing in has gone all out combo and counter control. So to stay in the game I have been forced to combo a little too, but I am still looking for a way to build me a new deck that can win without combo's.

Just out of inspiration for now
