Object of Deck is to extort as much as possible on every spell. Middle-Low mana curve help ensures that there will be exponentially more mana to use for extortion earlier on.

Every creature has extort and loads of low cost removal to maximize extortion.

Added in comparitivly higher costing cards like Pontiff of Blight, Treasury Thrull, and Sunbond if the match goes into late-game. Crypt Ghast helps balance out their cost.
