Here's a fresh look at mono-green devotion in the new FRF standard. The plan is the same as always with mono-green, which is to ramp up with dorks and devotion into huge fatties to overwhelm the opponent. The biggest setback for a deck like this is its inability to really deal well with enemy threats since it focuses on laying down the smack rather than responding. That being said, let's take a look at some of the awesome synergy here.

Dorks- Ramping is essential to resolving great plays like the ever-satisfying Polukranos, World Eater and Hornet Queen early enough before the opponent can deal with it, Elvish Mystic is obviously necessary here. Sylvan Caryatid is also great here. Even though mana fixing isn't needed, it's a good matchup against aggro, burn, control, and basically any pesky spells that would interfere. The alternative is Whisperer of the Wilds, which will usually generate more mana to the pool since ferocious will almost always be triggered (thanks fatties). Lastly is Voyaging Satyr which gets along well with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and gives you access to ridiculous amounts of mana.

Creatures- Let's see what we can spend that copious mana on. Courser of Kruphix is a must in this deck to keep the land coming and keep your life from dipping too low (although that usually doesn't matter). Polukranos, World Eater is just plain scary, especially on turn 3. Resolving a huge monstrous can even wipe the opposing board with enough mana if you're willing to let our hydra die. Nylea, God of the Hunt is really just there to give things trample which is very powerful in this deck. Genesis Hydra is an efficient way to get board presence and shuffle the library. The best part is that Genesis Hydra isn't bothered by control since it's ability resolves upon casting. Arbor Colossus gives 3 devotion and has reach to smack down those annoying fliers, Speaking of fliers, Hornet Queen is basically win con in a lot of cases since not many strategies have an answer to it.

Other cards- Chord of Calling is good for tutoring at instant speed, getting a creature onto the board whenever need be. Roar of Challenge has potential to be a crazy combo with Polukranos, World Eater. Syncing a bunch of mana into the monstrous ability and making Polukranos indestructible (ferocious trigger) allows you to divide damage to whatever you please and not worry about Polukranos dying. See the Unwritten is also viable but it seems redundant with Gensis Hydra in the main board. I could see it being really efficient in situations where you can put out a Hornet Queen and Arbor Colossus for just 6 mana. Nissa, Worldwaker is great to have since she can help ramp or add a creature. Her ultimate would be hilarious if someone wanted all 20 forests on the battlefield.

Side- Nylea's Disciple is always a good switch for aggro or burn strategies. This deck tends to top-deck a lot, so Abzan Beastmaster can be brought in for card draw. Mistcutter Hydra does well against any control deck and is an answer for Pearl Lake Ancient. Reclamation Sage deals with whatever enchantments are prevalent in standard including, namely Whip of Erebos and the clan ascendancies.

Maybe- Reverent Hunter can be put in to balance out the curve a little bit, and it's also very effective in the late game. Destructor Dragon is looking great since it can wipe out almost anything that's not a land. Frontier Siege requires more testing once FRF releases, it's hard to tell whether more mana is really needed.

This deck is a classic example of a "win more" strategy since it just provides threats to the opponent. It definitely gives most decks quite a bit of trouble, especially in the mid-range game.
