That ever happened to Frontline Medic ? He doesn't seem to be in most of the Boros decks I've looked at lately.. He's amazing.

He just doesn't add extra damage, I like Anax and Cymede better simple because the universal buff can be pretty relevant, and it's still a sizeable threat even if it's only him on the board.

Yes, I suppose I can agree. I see that Boros Charm sort of covers his position anyway. But maybe sideboard him against green, blue or black decks that run X cost cards. It's an obscure, but rather helpful secondary ability he has! xD

I mean, the point of this deck is to kill them before they can get any value out if an X spell anyways, but I appreciate the input.

I like it, looks very fast, Dryad Militant and Soldier of the Pantheon are good, Firedrinker Saytr if you can keep him from getting burned or punked.

I like those one drops a lot, but I decided to focus at the two drop spot to see just how that would work out, and I think these are the one drops I like best, although if standard was more multicolored right now I would definitely put in the soldier.

Where's Brimaz? Just a suggestion, Brimaz is great with Preeminent captain.

He's mostly not there because he costs a lot of money, and because for what the deck is trying to do, Anax and Cymede is just a little bit better. The heroic trigger is super relevant with even just two more creatures on the field things turn out to be a pretty major blow out. I could probably get away with adding in two without slowing the deck down two much, but I would hate to draw a hand with more then one 3 drop. I'll be keeping the cat king in mind for sure, and thanks for all your comments!

No problem, and I understand completely. Magic drains my wallet every week.

Add little more land?

July 26, 2014 2:49 a.m.

The curve is way too low, I would love to take out more lands to be honest lol, unfortunately any less and I would have to mulligan like crazy. As is the mana base is a bit of a risk, but the deck as a whole is based on risking everything to be as aggressive as possible.

End Hostilities and Duneblast were huge in my meta. Depending on how many creatures you want to protect, I would probably recommend Ajani's Presence

I suggest removing borderland marauder and adding 2-3 more lands and adding 2 more lightning strike. Deck speed is great. +1

I like the design of the deck, I would drop the Searing Blood for another 2 Lightning Strike and remove the borderland marauder for a set of Phalanx Leader . With all the targeting spells, your creatures can big and nasty. Deflecting Palm could be of use for deflecting damage, especially against a red burn/control deck.

October 26, 2014 11:07 a.m.

Thanks for the comments, Borderland Marauder is better then he seems, and so far Searing Blood has been very good in the main board, I know the risk I am taking, the whole deck is a risk lol. That being said, I don't like the strain that double white mana cost would put on the deck, and I like the freedom to target anything with my spells, I think that the leader could create some electric plays, but as a 1/1 he is useless, so without an activator he would be awful. I won a tournament yesterday, and I found a nice spot for Deflecting Palm in the sideboard after the tournament.

consider Akroan Hoplite for one of your 2-drops

Also Chained to the Rocks > Banishing Light in most every situation I have run with my Boros Aggro

November 6, 2014 6:03 p.m.

I don't have enough mountains or I would definitely agree about Chained to the Rocks, and I used to play the hoplite but for some reason I really hate him, he's too dependent upon others for his strength, he can certainly win games, I used to play him, but he's also very disappointing when he doesn't have friends. He's probably better then the marauder often enough, but he makes me nervous, I'd rather have a guaranteed 3 power than a guy that can be anywhere from 2 to 6 if that makes any sense.

Might be too much white but Phalanx Leader and Fabled Hero both might be decent additions to this deck. The double white is a bit much though to keep this balanced right.

Nice deck dude! How does it do when dealing with hand disruption?

November 18, 2014 4:04 p.m.

Thanks! It would depend on your hand I suppose, if you kept with only one creature and they take it before you can play it, then you are clearly in trouble, but as a general rule, when you play 18 lands, you draw gas a lot, and so you can usually recover nicely.

Valley dasher?

December 15, 2014 10:34 p.m.

Haste is nice, but 2 power is really underwhelming, especially against the ever popular Sylvan Caryatid

N-E-A-T-O says... #25

It just seems better than borderland marauder, 2 power might not seem good but i've played against mono red aggro decks that have it and its honestly terrifying on turn 2, it is also still usable when you draw it later in the game because it has haste.
