Underworld Dreams seems like a good addition, especially with Damnable Pact.

Why are you not playing 8 racks? That's sort of the whole point of playing 8rack.

I didn't know you could. I've heard of that but never looked it up. Thanks for the reminder, I'll research it.

Ok ok. Thanks for advising me to 8rack. That makes a lot of sense now. I'll be editing this deck throughout the day, getting it more finely tuned.

Black Vise isn't modern legal, so I guess go with the Underworld Dreams. I would recommend using Smallpox, as it is one of the best discard spells.

Shit, I overlooked the legality. As for Smallpox, that is very true, I just hate the drawback of losing a land. But seeing as I haven't included Raven's Crime, that may not be much of an issue.

On second thought, since I can't afford Ensnaring Bridge you're absolutely right.

Alright! Awesome! We're either at completion or near it.

Smallpox is really good with Tasigur's Cruelty, if you want to play that. You could also run a singleton Empty the Pits to really screw over the opponents late game.

Those could work, but I really don't see a space for them to justify taking anything else out.

Wow. Both of those are really good. Ugh. Not sure if I should add them or what.

Bile Blight or Drown in Sorrow for creatures in play? I see Dismember but if you can only target one

March 15, 2015 10:54 a.m.

HiddenStrings says... #17

That is true, and it was once in here. I think I made the change because I was afraid of late beaters. Blight is a token killer, that's for sure. -5/-5 just seemed more sure to kill off a major threat if they're able to get one out. I'll think about that. Thanks

I would run Funeral Charm and/or Necrogen Spellbomb for instant speed discard (the bomb you can use as a cantrip if you run out of steam) in place of Mire's Toll and Extirpate the toll is okay but early on it acts like a bad Raven's Crime and the Extirpate has to have mana open to use which you generally should be using to cast your discard spells. I would also consider Liliana's Caress in place of the Necrogen Mists it does damage like the racks and would pair well with Dark Deal. just a thought and they are pretty budget.

Some solid advice. The one thing I like about Extirpate, though, is that it can't be countered. I also like having two of each of the exilers because it gives me a choice. Being able to see the entirety of an opponent's library can be very intuitive and can obliterate an entire win-con.
