Rustic Clachan doesn't seem that good. Adaptive Automaton seems better, and I don't think that's saying much. Pay 2 to discard a land to put a 1/1 counter on 1 creature vs pay 3 to give all your creatures +1/+1? Maybe 1-of Rustic Clachan and add 1-2x Gift of Estates?

Sounds good to me. Honestly the only reason Rustic Clachan is here is for flavor.

I've been thinking about the Legendary kithkins too. Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile could do enough damage to creatures that blocking the kithkins would lead to lethal.

Gaddock Teeg might also be good since it wouldn't effect me at all.

Ya, the flavor was there, but the use wasn't strong enough. Your average CMC is getting steep, but I think 1xBrigid, Hero of Kinsbaile. Gaddock Teeg is good, but I don't see messing with your mana base for that card alone.

April 15, 2015 11:21 p.m.

True. I'll throw Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile in. She's pretty awesome.

I'd never heard of Gaddock Teeg before I started this deck. I actually have an idea for a hatebears EDH using him.

I just came across Gaddock Teeg recently. Easy card to base a deck off of.

I like the new additions. Can't wait to read the new description.

April 16, 2015 12:23 a.m.

Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoy the description! I put a lot of effort into making it a useful tool of getting across how the deck plays as well as demonstrating the theme and flavor of the deck.

I'll probably update description sometime tomorrow.

Cool deck! Have you considered Augury Adept? Lifegain and card advantage.

April 16, 2015 10:13 a.m.

Thanks!

Hm, I'll consider it. I've not playtested this deck much but I know it has very little card draw and no lifegain.

My average CMC is getting a little high but it might work out!

+1 for the theme and colorfulness of this deck alone. Looks super fun to play as well.

I like this. +1 for the thoughtfulness, and reference in the name. Also, it seems like it packs a punch. Good old white weenie. Gets you every time.

Thoughtweft Trio probably and maybe Cenn's Enlistment for a late game drop.

April 17, 2015 2:06 p.m.

You'd probably want to MD the Paths and SB the O-rings. Also I really like the Goldmeadow Harriers more than the Cenn's Tacticians in the MD, but I think that it's just personal preference. Plus it wouldn't fit the theme of your description as well lol. +1 for a fun-looking deck!

April 17, 2015 2:10 p.m.

Thanks a ton for the +1s! I'm glad to see people are liking it!

CricketYT, I'm not too fond of Cenn's Enlistment it's pretty pricey for a weenie deck and Militia's Pride along with Kinsbaile Borderguard already produce a fair number of tokens. As for Thoughtweft Trio, looks like a nice finisher! I might one-off it.

GeminiSpartanX, mainboarding the Path to Exiles probably a good idea, I think I will do that. As for the Goldmeadow Harriers, I left them in the sideboard because I can already get past a lot of blockers with Brave the Elements. I also really like Cenn's Tactician's ability to allow me to block an additional creature. It's actually pretty effective with Kinsbaile Borderguard as it already has a bunch of +1/+1s on it!

Thank you everyone for the suggestions!

Brave the Sands would work nicely in this to keep you alive longer against some of the faster aggro decks.

I feel like Brigid is useless here. It just increases your average cmc. What's your experience with her?

April 17, 2015 7:56 p.m.

spiritwolf13, Brave the Sands might be good... could replace Cenn's Tactician, or maybe use both and be able to block over two creatures :O

Nef, to be honest, I've playtested this very little. I just ordered all the cards in the mail today. I plan to utilize Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile to destroy weaker creatures or even lower the attacker's toughness enough to kill them.

But is 4 mana worth what she does

April 17, 2015 8:15 p.m.

It's a pretty nice late game finisher, also if everything goes to plan she'll cost three mana due to Ballyrush Banneret.

April 17, 2015 8:19 p.m.

I'll have to do some testing once I actually get the cards.

April 17, 2015 8:32 p.m.

Let us know how it goes. I think it looks fun just the way it is. Has a kind of story book, David the Gnome quality.

April 17, 2015 8:40 p.m.

Thanks! :)

I'll be sure to keep you guys posted in the updates section. Thank you all who've shown their interest in this deck!

i have a few suggestions, mostly in mana base, but i have other suggestions as well. i'm not sure on your budget, but i think most of my suggestions are still pretty cheap in the way of upgrades. 1) Maybe Windbrisk Heights for a super cheap spell. 2) Mutavault? 3) i may be wrong here but do you need more lords? i see you dropped the automaton, but i think something like Obelisk of Urd or Door of Destinies or maybe even Coat of Arms could really be a blowout. i really like the idea of Kithkin tribal and i think you have done it really well. Cheers!

April 19, 2015 8:06 p.m.

Thanks a lot!

As for your suggestions (this is my reasoning but I'd also like to hear what you have to say):

  1. I had Windbrisk Heights in but I decided to cut it because with Ballyrush Banneret my spell are dirt cheap, I didn't really see the need for it since it also came in tapped.

  2. I never really considered Mutavault although it looks as though it might be a good addition. I'll check it out.

  3. Since this is a pretty aggressive deck I though just using Wizened Cenn would be effective enough. Between him and Surge of Thoughtweft I think I can swing for high enough numbers when I need to.

Again, I need to remind you this is all theoretical. I haven't gotten these cards in the mail yet, but they should be coming real soon.
